Unbelievable

Saw the billboard on I-40. Could not believe how nice this is. Huge grass yard with pull through sites water and electric, dump station, bathrooms, golf next door and kids playground for $12!! We have paid lots more for lots less!!

Overnight stop

We called ahead and got the last available site. Person I talked to was very cheerful and helpful. FHU including cable and everything worked well. Some highway noise but not terrible. Nice kids playground and a dog area. Can't review toilets or showers but a lot of updates going on and looked nice. We would stay again.

Great location for area exploring

Stayed here 4 nights and was very pleased. We stayed so busy exploring Grand Canyon and Sedona areas can't really comment on the amenities much. Reservation agent actually returned my call and got us in during a busy time. Park is close to I40 so road noise was kinda loud but not terrible. We would definitely stay again.

Pleasant surprise

Was traveling west to Williams AZ and needed a break. Have been out a week and this is hands down the nicest place we've stayed. Glad we stopped here.

Nice out of the way place

We stayed 2 nights there when nothing around was available. When I called the young lady was very helpful getting us a spot. The sites are tight and are terraced up a hill. Nice dog park. We were thankful to get a spot at a busy time.

Good overnight stop

Spent one night here in mid may. Pretty nice, good clean bathouse. Sites are close but seems everyone was just staying one night. Everything worked including cable. Has semi covered picnic tables that looked good. They were actually pouring concrete pads in a new addition but existing pads are gravel. Helpful staff, easy check in.

Nice friendly park

Stayed here 2 nights this May. The location is good for access to Oklahoma City attractions. It is right off the interstate so the usual highway noise but not terrible. Free coffee and muffins every morning. Bathouses were very clean and well kept. Didnt look at them but there are Buffalo there in a pen. A lot of workers stay there but not a problem. Cable was included but didn't work for us or our neighbor. You can get lots of local air channels though.

Great jungle like camping with one caveat

This is our second trip to stay here. Each time has been for a week. It is our favorite campground. The Atlantic Beach on one side, freshwater lake on the other. Quiet and very natural. You will track more dirt in your camper since there are no concrete pads but so what. Now for my negative. Both trips we had a sewer connection that was stubbed off at least 8 inches high. Whoever did this certainly doesn't know the first rule of plumbing drains. If we come back again I will put several cinder blocks in the truck to try and raise my sewer line as a Slunky doesn't begin to solve this issue. Pretty frustrating for a week's stay when tanks are emptied several times.

Most unique campground we have seen

We stayed 5 nights in January. This is a one of a kind experience. Staff was very helpful from check in to departure. Campsites are not concrete so be extra careful stabilizing your RV. We are returning in March and will have more 4x4 chocks to use. Every site has full hookups with lighted power posts. Only negative we had to move once and the second site sewer connection was stubbed out pretty high, be sure you have a slunky and even then I had to raise the hose to empty it. Easy access to the Atlantic beach on one side and a nice fresh water lake on the other. Access code is needed to enter and campers are provided with the code. Didnt use the restrooms or showers so cant comment on those. Camp store was open reduced hours but seemed well stocked. If you are interested in local seafood Mayport has 2 excellent restaurants nearby, Safe Harbor and Singletons are really good. Dollar stores are nearby as well. Bottom line we LOVE this place!

Christmas camp 2020

Very nice campground. With family gatherings discouraged due to covid we decided to camp. We used site 58. Site has 30 50 15 amp, water and sewer. Concrete pad with extra concrete vehicle parking. Bathroom is directly in front with toilets and showers. Very clean and warm (low Christmas eve and Christmas 23). Concete picnic table, grill and grill table. Fire ring. This site will be waterfront in summer but with the winter let down no water right now. All together a great, well maintained facility. Also the north mississippi fish hatchery is here but closed for the holidays.

Very well kept, quiet, comfortable

We stayed 2 nights in December. Needless to say no crowds but the showers and bathrooms were spotless and warm. Easy back in spot with water and electric. Dump station on the way out. Lot of storm damage trees made firewood plentiful. Pleasant stay.
