Nice spot close to Sandpoint. Not crowded. Was able to slide right in on the Friday night when Spokane was having wildfires out west. Aside from the heavy smoke at the time, I enjoyed my stay and will return if in the area again.
Yeah as one reviewer noted, there is no lack of flying insects to accost you. Probably more bugs than I have ever seen in recent memory. Dodge the bugs by going to the kickass little bar down the road!
If you're on Hwy 2 and just need a place to rest for the night, this will do. Stopped here after Labor Day and had the tent area to pretty much to myself until some kids showed up to party at the pavilion. We had a couple beers around the cool fire pit in there. I'd give it 3 stars because the ground was hard and uneven, but the pavilion bumps it up to a four.
