Let me start by saying I'd stay here again. But there was such a pitted road to the right. It's too hard to get off the high banks with our Transit. On the left fork near the pit toilets, better roads but more campers. 5 rvs all in sight of one another. There was rain and snow week before that made roads worse I assume. Not much trash around. Near horse corral that gets use. 17 degrees with wind this morning but clear skies. Shooting nearby as well as the trash dump nearby. But the location can't be beat.
No one there but us and some elk. Bathroom and trash still available. No winter maintenance but roads fine on our visit. Lake not frozen yet.
Water turned off at the end of October. Pit toilets are available and clean. Able to reserve day of visit, but the website is a bit wonky. 5g Verizon. Nice river walk. Yellow leaves on the trees still in November. Only the loop b open right now. About 10 other campers. The highway /train noise is minimal inside a camper. There is a playground and covered picnic tables. Very close to Palisade farm land. I'd camp here again. Not too many dispersed options close by.
Mostly empty in October. Good price $10. Close to town. Vault toilet.
Cows and trailers. Mostly unoccupied on a Tuesday night. Assuming for weekend ATV and hunting. Good paved roads until last turns to dirt. Cow alarm ⏰️ clock and cow pies. Chilly this time of year. Best thing 4G and view of Reservoir.
We stayed outside in a pull out dispersed instead before the recreation site. Had all to ourselves. We dont need facilities. Location is good off freeway. Campground was pretty full of fishermen. No privacy. Setup weird. Gr8 price. $5. We had 5G T-Mobile and fields of sunflowers and a reservoir view.
In September, no mosquitoes. 2 other camper on a Monday. We started near fire rings near water but moved up the hill to be alone. Used the pit toilet at boat ramp next door. Perfect stop not to far off of i90 to rest. Road paved and Gravel around camp spots. I had 4g cell at top of hill T-Mobile.
We dispersed by boat launch. By ourselves on a Wednesday after labor day. Construction at east and west campgrounds. 5g cell T-Mobile. Roads only slightly muddy but after a rain. Yikes.
Lots of wildflowers. Road a bit bumpy. Excellent views of canyon. Along 141 but quiet at night. Only one other camper. High above east creek. Gr8 place to chill and walkabout. No facilities
