It’s pretty nice

A lot of their sites have full hook up but not all of them. Read the details of the sites when booking. Some of the sites have really steep grades and aren’t big rig friendly.

Check in was a breeze had out car tags on our post.

They do have a full-time camp host on site.

I didn’t use the shower 🚿 house but they do have a couple on the grounds.

They have a putt putt course but bring your own putter and ball.

There is Verizon service but it’s spotty.

They do have WiFi but it’s very slow and not secure.

Place is very pet friendly. The people we have met here are great.

Sites are wide but really close together.

It’s a Great Little Place

When you pull in you are welcomed by the big yellow welcome sign!

The office is quaint and has a limited supply food and drinks but there is a Dollar General just down the street and a small gas station the other direction for your beverage needs.

They have a laundry facility, firewood for sale and can also refill your propane if you need it.

This is a really cool campground because it’s situated on an old racetrack. Check out the website for details on the full hookup sites.

We stayed on the creek witch has water and electric but they will empty your tanks for you if you stay longer than 3 nights.

Stay tuned for more…

Do the caves

This is our second time staying here. I love to tour the caves. We stayed for a week and had no issues except for the A/C being down during the middle of July! 🥵 The office didn’t have any POC for us to find help to fix the A/C. Would have been nice if they had a list of local people. We ended up finding someone on google. 🎉

The pool was closed because of the pandemic. Face masks were required in the office and the bathhouse.

Nice big camping area, a few short spaces and some were really close together. So check the size limit on the spots. A lot of the spaces are really not level.

Verizon phone service is available here.

Drive down and see the lake.

We have enjoyed our time here.

Gorgeous Place

Love this KOA! Great grounds, lots of shade down in a valley. Great cell phone service for Verizon. Wide RV spots. Full hookup with e/w/s. Nice pool area. Pool area is at the hotel. Hotel/KOA same owner. FREE ICE at the arena area.

They do have shower house and laundry facilities in the arena building. They have a nice play ground for kids and a kamp k-9 for the dogs.

Lots of pull through sites for big rigs.

Staff was nice. Ran into the cleaning lady at the bathroom.

Kids loves the pool. It was nice to during the hottest week of the year so far!

So far so good.

Great place. Secluded but close to everything you need.

Bring a water pressure regulator.

Bring the kayaks, bikes and easy chairs. Prepare to relax and enjoy yourself.

Hosts are great, friendly and accommodating.

Best Little Place on Earth

I grew up on this campground. It was my home away from home during the summer for Years. I knew the original owner/creator of this campground. I visit here and it brings back so many memories.

It’s a great campground with kayak and canoe trips. Lots of fishing and swimming available. Tubing is the best trip from Ronceverte to the Campground on the Greenbrier River if you have a full day to just unplug and take in all the sites, sounds and smells around you.

Just ignore the train that runs through across the River.

Lots to do here with tent camping, RV, cabin rentals and even some nostalgic RV rentals.

Huge Campground

Lots of spaces! Lots of permanent campers. They have mobile phone service and wifi on site. We stayed in our own camper so we didn’t visit the bathrooms. The pool wasn’t open yet either. Lots of golf carts to rent. Nice people very helpful. Full service hookup was awesome! New stage area, is the party place on the weekends!

BFF camping trip

My best friends and I met here for a weekend campout. It’s was so nice just to relax, hangout and hit the local yarn stores. The pool was awesome too and even though it rained we still had a great time just being together. The store was nice and the people were too.

Love Coming here!

We love coming here. It’s local for us so if we just want a weekend to get away we typically come here. The restrooms are clean, the sites are well maintained and the lake is close by for some good kayaking and fishing.
