The road in is several miles of dirt washboard. But the views are great once here. Not close enough to lake unless want a mile or so hike. Most roads are little more than clearings of brush motorcycle trails. Lots of OHV in the area, so weekends really noisy. But nice otherwise. Good desert boindocking spot

Although it looks like a full time park, the views of river inlet are awesome. Limited water access across the 101 highway. Used as a quick stop over and rest station then pushed onward. Sites were occupied, probably with fishing vacationers.

Just did a dump at site, have a $ for dump. Toured sites, looks well wooded and nice sites.

Park was closing for season on Nov 1, so ended up going elsewhere. Nice sites, not extremely isolated sites, but good distance. Can walk to beach, with several ladder banks down hillside to beach. Also, the Tree of Life site is along Beach here.

Campground with lots of wonderful sites, some overlooking the ocean. There is an open air theater for cultural events. Site closing for season Nov. 1, so could not stay as I needed to cover a few more days for trip. Was here end of October, and a few scattered campers, rvs etc. But many wonderful open spaces.

Didn't get to stay, as I needed cell signal during stay timeframe. However, beautiful nice spots, very damp and soggy with recent rains and since is flat, leaves some areas needing to be watched. Also, no cell signal.. T_mobile or Verizon. Lots of distance between sites, various foliage between sites.

Great camp to camp distance and foliage cover. Dense forest, river near by… great DNR spot. Need a discover pass but free past that. Also had ranging 2 to 3 bars verizon.

Very close and mostly via reservation. Nice beach views. Canadian cell service.

Behind the hotel, it's a row of RV pads with services. The community and surroundings are quiet, but is a city type setting, so I don't call it truly a campground…. but an RV Park. Nice and pleasant fks however, and was an enjoyable stay non the less.

This is not a 'let's get away from the city for a week' type of spot. It is at the edge of a wonderful little town, literally. It is just off the highway, and the playground attracts a few kids I am sure… but the town is nestled in trees, so the campground gives a woodsy feeling.
I stopped for a night, as was getting late… ended up staying two days. Nice base spot to explore town and beaches from…. all in walking distance. Sites are small in center ring, exterior sites a bit larger. Fire rings and tables, but no utilities. A common area city water connection at Pavillion end is present. $15 a night, and I hear bikers are $10. Good verizon, but varies across park…. I thought the signal losses mean low strength, but surprisingly had great data.

This site is a little higher from the lake. There is a day picnic area with tables and shade structures. Further down the trail are dirt pullout areas that can better accommodate rv pull behinds. Verizon was about 2 bars when there but I opted to take next camp spot up the road two miles or so, to get better lake access.

Pretty easy to find, access and seems to be well maintained for a free lakeside camp spot.

Although the previous reports said road went back for miles, this one this time was closed at the Rock quarry. There are still parking lots and a few places other than the dirt road however, and was pretty nice location. Quiet, coyotes and stars!
