What a lovely campground!
Everything is quiet and even though the sites are close to each other, there's lots of privacy (at least among the tent sites).
There appears to be a lot of people actives on water and on foot.
Staff has been very friendly.
I've never stayed in a nicer KOA that this one.
The tents sites were VERY small. I could barely fit a 1 person tent in the designated area (reason for 4 vs 5 stars). Facilities were amazing.
Just did a quick overnight stop here. The site is bordered by a moderately busy 4 lane road which is why I gave it 4 vs 5 stars.
I was in a tent site but had easy access to electric and water. I hosted a Zoom meeting from the picnic table with no issues over the KOA Wifi.
As is typical with KOA and most RV campgrounds, very closely packed sites.
Exceptionally friendly staff and well kept facilities.
This was a perfect stop while traveling cross country. All the sites that I saw had their own shelter/pavilion over the picnic table.
There's very little to no shade in most of the sites.
Facilities were very clean and the host, Frank, was exceptionally helpful.
I've been coming to Pine Lake for nearly 50 years. The campground have changed a bit over the years, more spaces, but otherwise much the same as it's always been.
Secluded sites, you rarely see into the sites near you. Fire rings, log fence around the campground. Good fishing and boating the lake. Range cattle, chipmunks, jays and ospreys are the common critters around.
Vault toilets (very clean) and centralized water taps.
