Easy to find, a little rough road getting in but a great spot, relatively private. No bugs when we were there. It’s just the campsite and a fire pit. No bathrooms, water, electric. We pulled in a pickup just fine and saw a few campers at other sites
We pulled in around midnight just to sleep. No toilet that we found but we could easily have missed it. The pull through spaces are private and far enough apart to feel like you have the place to yourself. No bugs, we woke up to cows mooing and a beautiful sunrise over the lake. The wind that came in over the lake helped cool us off as well. Great free find!
This was an excellent spot for jeeps/off road vehicles. Very private, lots of fun if you have dirt bikes or four wheelers with you to explore. It’s just off the road so we heard cars going by every once in awhile, but for the most part had the area to ourselves. Only bugs were grasshoppers. Pit toilet was clean and unlocked. There was a map of the entire park as well. Probably one of my favorite spots
Love the spot, not many people, picnic tables/fire pits at each pull through spot. Pit toilet was locked. The mosquitoes were absolutely blood thirsty and aggressive and after multiple reapplications of bug spray we had to call it quits. The fire barely kept them at bay, but we still got a few bites sitting next to the heat.
