This is in a pretty spot. Much better than other camps right off highway. Trash cans were overflowing and lots of trash everywhere.
These small towns in NE have the right idea with these free community campgrounds. It’s just the reason we need to stop and visit local businesses and explore a town we would normally just pass through.
This camp is nothing fancy but very nice. It’s a short walk to the Mainstreet shops and the park offers a great quiet place to relax after a long day behind the wheel.
Gorgeous little park right on a series of small lakes. Camping is in grassy and forested area. You dive on grass and park next to a table and power outlet. Many of these spots are not level and seem better suited to tents than larger RVs but some spots could work for vans, class C or small class A RVs. I also saw one cabin for rent. This is all near the water and has bathrooms and a water faucet. I also noticed pretty good AT&T cell coverage here. This area has historically been bad for cell coverage so maybe that is improving.
Not a bad RV Park, Kinda plane and sites are very close. But for a hot night in Montrose it provided a reasonably priced spot with 30amp to plug in for some AC coolness. Staff was really nice!
This is a really neat camp for those looking to get away from the normal summer Colorado crowds. It’s in a gorgeous limestone canyon. I think there are 7 sites in juniper trees under hundred foot limestone walls. No cell service for me (ATT) but very quiet and peaceful. Please leave it cleaner than you found it. On this visit it was very clean and this was right after 4th of July weekend. This is a great soot to break up the drive from central Colorado to The Tetons.
This campground is a nice place to stay not far from the Fractions and Numbers sections of the amazing whitewater on the Arkansas River near BV. It gets pretty busy on weekends. There is more dispersed camping going further up the road if needed or desired. There is also some great rock climbing very close to the campground.
