Great seaside camping

It’s the perfect place for ocean bean access. The water happened to be pretty rough when we went and very windy. We have really small kids so it was a bit stressful. We were on D Loop and the sites were really small, I would give 3.5 stars if half stars were an option. The green spaces between loops were fun for the kids to explore. Electrical and water were nice amenities.

Great Lake access

This spot is great for lake access. We stayed in the north side of the Main campground which was great because we had tons of extra space and were backed up right to beach access. The beach itself is pretty rocky, not ideal for just playing in, but great for SUP or boat access. North side also gets substantially less shade so be thoughtful when setting up your tent if you are the napping type.

There is a dedicated swim area off to the west side of the grounds, but also pretty pebbly. More fun with sandals.

Great beach sites

Greats sites by the beach, tons of trees and logs for the kids to play and explore on. Need to explore the lighthouse. We got rained out and had to hurry out.

Dairy Creek Camp West

Great place away from the city but not too far of a drive. We stayed at Dairy Creek West. Great spaces. Large and level campsites. Playground in a train shape on Hilltop Day-use area for both small kids and bigger kids. Only bummer was how loud the hand dryer was right by the restrooms but only because the door were open to help with airflow during COVID. Also no showers, but only because of COVID too.
