Only stayed one night but it was pretty nice stay. They have a breakfast service which was decent. Full hookups, pull-ins, picnic tables, and the water pipes are protected against low temperatures.
They offer air for your tires and have propane available for purchase.
We stopped for one night on our way to Illinois as we were happily surprised about the actual site and their staff. Recently changed name. The site was well kept and cleaned. Highly recommended!
Close to the highway so it can be a little noisy but really not as bad once you are inside your RV.
We scheduled a stop and we were not disappointed. It’s not full hookup sites but has electricity, some sites have water and there is a dump station in the back. Paulette is pretty friendly and her dog is absolutely adorable. He roams around like he owns the place … 😜
Quiet at night and plenty of stars to look at.
It was very crowded and we stayed in our site and away from public areas. Pool was open as well as restrooms/showers. They talked about bears visiting but we didn’t spot any there. We had to stay 3 nights minimum as a condition and for the site/service i felt it was overpriced. Registration office has plenty of ice but limited beer and soda drinks. It was quiet for the most part after 11:30 pm. Sites are dusty which made us swipe every single day our rental RV. Don’t judge me.. I’m an RV newbie and like clean sites. 2.4 miles to Lake Tahoe and lots of trails around.
They advertised WiFi service, but it’s not free.
Stayed couple of nights. Camp sites are decent in space. They have a late check in which is not ideal as the place is pretty dark at night but convenient as we had some road troubles. Wifi wasn’t as good but we got average phone reception. Camps come with a fire pit and with a double water faucet which is great when you need additional water to clean up. Overall good experience at this place.
Nice RV park… It's pretty big and offers several options for staying from small cabins to full RV hook up sites. I personally was a little disappointed that place was packed as most places we have been staying had a 50% capacity restriction. Staff was friendly and helpful and definitely will return after pandemic is gone. Quiet time wasn't enforce which is nice for those wanting to party.
Our site had a gas grill and fire pit which was nice for some of the chilly nights we had.
Wished we had stayed longer. It was almost empty which it was a positive for us as we are still facing a pandemic. Installation is pretty cleaned and well kept. They have a variety of RV spaces in size and prices. We had some difficulties reaching out to someone when we called but they always returned our called and gave us the information needed. Excellent customer service and definitely worth the price.
Under new administration now its call Slow Play RV Park. Friendly and helpful owners. They will make sure your stay is as smooth as possible. Clean & quiet site with a dog walk trail.
Highly recommended if you are visiting Lincoln National Forest.
We spent three nights here and we were pleased of how easy was to get to all the viewing sites. Happy to see they were enforcing the mask and social distancing although park was crowed. Most RV parks we have been staying we’re only at 50% capacity. Laundry site was closed. Pretty quiet at night and Dale the Site greeter (don’t know his official title) was extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of wildlife visits and they are not shy. Ravens are a little annoying as are hungry and have no issues going into your trash even when you are few feet away.
We only stayed a night but we liked it a lot. No internet service and poor phone reception (T-Mobile) which was a little issue for us as we are traveling cross country and we need to confirm some of our upcoming RV stops. We wished would have stayed longer to be able to enjoy the park but definitely coming back for a long stay visit.
Nothing special other than is 7 miles from Carlsbad Caverns. Clean facilities, including Grocery Store, laundromat, post office. It’s a dry area so remember to bring your alcohol. No light restrictions. Watch out for splinters in the picnic table. Overall convenient and friendly helpful administration.
Maverick RV Park kicked off our RV tour on a great note. Bob - Manager on site was extremely friendly and helpful even did the hook ups for us when we arrive close to 11 pm. Their no light pass 10 pm rule in my opinion was a little too rigid considering park was at 30% capacity and there were no many guest close by to bother but we understand rules. They also rent vehicles for the day - a little overpriced in my opinion- but helpful for those that didn’t have another vehicle with your class A rental and need to move around. Vehicle wasn’t as clean as we would have expected for the price. Overall, we had a great stay and everyone was helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this place.
