Driving through the small roads of Kansas in the late afternoon we decided we had better find a place to park our van . We found this park, and as it was dark, we really couldn't see our surroundings very well, we drove off the road and found a level spot and turned in for the night. It was okay, being late october I think we were the only people in the park. In the morning we looked around and we might have been in the wrong side of the park. The lake was dry from where we could see. All we wanted to do was rest for the night and get going in the morning so it was good for us.
This spot is basically a convenient place to park an RV while visiting Duluth. Close to the interstate, real close, and within 1/2 mile of the most visited tourist attraction in Minnesota. Nothing fancy, a place to park with electricity if you want it. Reservations not available, first come , first served, during events probably real hard to get a spot. Website explains what is available and what isn't.
