We camped at Trillium Lake for a couple of nights.  The campground was clean and well maintained. We hiked the trail around the lake, easy walk a little over two miles….the layout of the grounds provides spacious camping spaces with easy access to the lake. During the summer it is very busy.  Bring your kayak and a fishing pole and you are set

They have 2 main loops (“lower park”#1-46 and“upper park”#46A-98) surrounded by Granite Dell rocks. Because sites are located within the rocks, they are unevenly spaced. This makes for a very natural feel, but it also means site quality is very mixed. All sites are basic dirt with full hookups (either 30amp/water/sewer or 50amp/water/sewer) with a picnic table. Some sites are huge, spacious & flat with excellent privacy whereas other sites are small, cramped, and uneven with limited to no privacy. Upper park sites tend to be bigger (in general) than the lower park. Great spot for your furbaby. Lots of good space in most campsite and access to miles of hiking in the Granite Dells right next-door.  The lake is beautiful with all your non-motorized boat fun.  You can even hike around the lake or a nice hike is to go behind the dam.

When we lived in Oregon we would come here every year for the Crab Festival!  Fort Stevens has something for everyone.  The campground is clean, easy to access, and has a lot of room for everyone.  Please make sure to make reservations early if there are events around as they fill up super fast.  Fort Stevens was once the primary military defense installation.  The fort saw service for 84 years, from the Civil War to World War II. Today, Fort Stevens has grown into a 4,300-acre park offering an exploration of history, nature, and many recreational opportunities. The park also has a network of paved bicycle trails and hiking trails that allow for exploring a variety of habitats.  One of my favorite places to visit is the wreck of the Peter Iredale. There is beach access and you can see the wreckage of the Peter Iredale– which ran aground in 1906. Parts of the hull are still visible, showing just how dangerous the Columbia River Bar is.

This is a walk-in only campground with Fantastic VIEWS.  Campsites are very primitive. I just can't say how much I loved it here.  Even if you can't stay at the campground, you have to do the blue pool hike.  It is fairly easy and beautiful.

TENT CAMPING ONLY - there are about 17 sites.  We did an overnight stop here on our way to Bend.  It was full of beauty! Swim or paddle in the quiet waters of the non-motorized lake, go for a great hike with views of multiple Cascade peaks, or just kick back and relax in the campground. Pacific Crest Trail one only mile from the campground.  The sights are a little close together, not a problem unless they are full (which is often).

you will have to book this one WAY in advance.  64 sites face the river,  others are tucked into the scenic forest. We had a group site (2 trailers) and we sat on the river every morning drinking our coffee.  We went on tons of long hikes and just loved it so much.

The RVs locations are great, some are VERY close together. The lodge is beautiful and rustic. But there isn't really any food there.  The hot spring pool is nice and relaxing. The pool can get overcrowded.  It was clean when we were there, although I have heard complaints since.

The grounds are gorgeous.  Please go find the secret garden.  Dogs are allowed but there are many places they cannot go.  they do enforce the 6 ft dog leash law. 

From the lodge, you can do a float down the river.  It is a blast!  Definitely the highlight of the trip for us.

There are two campgrounds here: Crooked River Campground (E Loop mid-February through mid-December.) 91 electrical sites with water Flush toilets/showers and Deschutes River Campground (A, B, C Loops - mid-May through mid-September) A and C Loop: 87 full hookup sites B Loop: 93 tent sites with water nearby Flush toilets/showers

There are 3 places to launch a boat - Lower Deschutes, Upper Deschutes and Crooked River The Marina also rents boat moorages, boats, water toys, and Houseboats. The marina also includes a café and store that sells fuel and a few small items.

We love Lake Hosmer, it is always beautiful in the summer.  The spaces are nice, although sometimes hard to get into you will need to book way in advance (they will release sites about 6 months early).  You can Kayak on the lake and there is also a boat ramp, store, and marina not too far down the road.

This facility has vault toilets and each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire pit with grill. This is a dry camping facility so bring it in and out.

We had planned to go to Biosphere 2 so this was our landing spot for a couple of days.  They have a lot of nice hiking trails, the spaces were nicely spaced and the weather was perfect (December).   We took the pups out for long walks and enjoyed the gorgeous AZ sunsets!!  We have come back a few times just for the hikes.

This is part of the Encore/Thousand Trails network (although anyone can use it).  They do offer a 20% military discount.

The resort has spacious RV spots with extra room to park your vehicle(if towing). Each spot has a nice concrete slab with a picnic table. The Small trailer, tent camping sites are very big and have a lot of distance between them. Staff are always patrolling around keeping everything nice and clean. Trees are everywhere providing shade. A nice breeze is always blowing and there is a creek down behind the resort where you can cool off. if you're looking for a great relaxing place to stay I highly recommend it.

Close by is Jerome and Sedona for things to do

This is a great little campground.  There are a few spots for bigger rigs as well as some double spaces.  The spaces are very nice and quite large in most cases.  The hosts were very nice.  The campground fills up pretty quickly.  The lake is very nice, to kayak on and fishing is good as well.

This is one of my favorite places to go in Oregon (there are many). The park has about 120 sites, it is ready for RV, Tents, Horses, Boats about anything you could want.

Dogs are welcome, however, some trails (like the Ten Falls) are not allowed.  Please pick up after your pet and keep them on a leash!

If you get a chance, do the Trail of Ten Falls, it is a spectacular, nationally recognized hiking trail that weaves through a densely forested landscape. The trail passes a series of breathtaking waterfalls along a rocky canyon and descends to a winding creek on the forest floor.

Beautiful scenery and a lot of awesome places to hike. Rangers and park staff are so friendly and helpful. Our Park host was super nice, but definitely keep things in order. Dogs are welcome you just have to keep them on a leash and pick up after them. The Caverns are the main attraction, please make your reservations early.  At different times of the year different parts are open, mostly depends on the bat migrations.  Caverns are a must-see!  It is close to Tombstone and other attractions.

This park is so close to town, but far enough that you feel like you are way out. There are standard campsites (water and electric) as well as tent camping area. The sites can fit good sized rigs.  There is a ton of trails for hiking, biking, and horses. Brand new showers, restrooms, and a dishwashing area. Dogs are allowed, but please keep them on a leash and pick up after them so we don't lose the privilege!

I love this park because it is small and less crowded than most.  If you have a boat there is plenty of room for you to ski or whatever you want without being in the main part of the lake.  The spots have enough space, some do not have trees, most are big enough to support a nice sized rig.  The only downside is if you have a dog, they are only allowed on a small part of the beach right by the boat launch.  They are not allowed at the regular beach even on a leash.  They keep the park and the restrooms up and do patrol quite a bit.

I’ve been coming to this campground for about 10 years.  We have never had a problem, hosts are very nice & grounds are kept up.  Rangers do lots of different hikes if you are interested.  All kinds of water sports and rentals.  UTV trails are great.
