Largest County Park I've ever stayed at.

Great Attitude an Service by the staff.  I was warmly welcomed and escorted to my site.  The only amenity not available is Sewage Hookup but they offer a dump instead.  Very open wide spaced sites. Shade is hard to come by.

The Park came about because the Property was Part of huge Military Camp developed for WWII.  There were 10 Army Divisions that trained here over the years. The Camp was downsized and Johnson County was given Control over many and I do mean Many Acres.  Activities include 18 Hole Golf Course, Horse Show Barn and Arena, Seniors Center, Hiking Trails, Gun Ranges & on and on.

I'm here two weeks. I will return

The middle of the Smoky Mountains. The most Beautiful Valleys in the World!

Haven't been there in a couple Years. But I will return.  The Campground is very shaded, and sites can be close, but the area is absolutely Heaven on earth.  Not long drive to higher elevations or back to civilization with shopping galore.  Both Pidgeon Forge and Gatlinburg in close driving.

Small County Park

Very Rural but can be a little noisy.  Very friendly Staff.  Small sites real close to a nice River.  Shady in the AM but it can be pretty hot and sunny to the front of your unit.  Not a good place for 40' and bigger rigs.

I was there last August 2019. I plan on returning very soon. Yes I reviewed this a year after my visit.
