This state park has a beach and many sites are on the lake. We've stayed here several times over the years. Our favorite spots are along the lake - we'd drop our canoe in and paddle out for sunset views. Fishing is decent on this big lake. Showers work, most sites have electric (water and dump station are available).
Nice views of the lake and rocks from Bell Point campground. We stayed in site B19 and it was easy to back in to with our 20' camper. Electric was appreciated, but water was unavailable due to repairs, the dump station and showers were closed - making our stay shorter than expected. There were porta-potties available at the restrooms. The only place around to get water is in the town of Tecumcari, atleast a 30 min drive. If we're in the area and the water gets turned back on, we'd visit again. ATT signal is good and Starlink worked great here, no interruptions in school, work, streaming or gaming. Loved the views, did a bit of hiking around the lake area, saw a boat or two on the lake every now and then. We saw a roadrunner near our site which was really neat
We stayed here on a whim while passing through. The woman at the lodge was very helpful with the booking. We stayed at site #94 in the Little Creek campground which had electric hookup. The campground was a nice change of scenery from all the farmland and corn we had to endure in Iowa and in the rest of Nebraska. We saw a couple of white-tailed deer wandering through in the early morning hours. There seems to be a lot more to offer here than we had time to enjoy. Nice state park, would recommend to others and would stay again if ever in the area
We stayed for a night while passing through - ended up picking site #58 w/electric. It was next to the restrooms and water fountain, which was convenient. The campground road and sites were a bit curvy and heavily wooded, there's no way Starlink would work in the area we stayed and ATT was limited. I do think the campground has more to offer though; our stay was a short one because of our trip. Overall the night was quiet and enjoyable
We stayed for one night while passing through. This is a great park with beautiful views of the Spanish Peaks. Our site had electric hookup and a dump station is also available. We used ATT for our cell + internet needs (didn't try Starlink since our stay was short). This was our first time in Colorado and we'd definitely stay at this park again
Friendly staff, gorgeous sunsets from Lake Superior's shore, water + electric sites, dump station, hot showers. There are some tent sites along the shore that look amazing. Next time we'll be paddling to Grand Island. We stayed at the end of September.
What you would expect of a Michigan SF campground: vault toilets, no hookups, hand pump, no reservations, $20/night. The outhouses are new and the sites are right on Beaufort Lake. There is a boat launch and small beach area. We did some kayaking and saw multiple Bald Eagles - they would fly over the sites from the lake to the beaver pond across the street. Local ducks were very welcoming and came right up to us. There was a beautiful sunset one night we stayed. Not too busy, only 3 or 4 campsites were filled over the weekend. We stayed connected by running Starlink off of a battery (very fast, no interruptions)
Nice campground right on Lake Michigamme, variety of sites (tents, cabins, electric hook-ups), big clean beach, showers. AT&T was okay, ended up using it for internet over Starlink, which was spotty due to trees. Son had a good time skateboarding and using the playground. We've stayed twice now and likely will again. I did notice the AED was missing from the beach house/laundry area….otherwise it seems accessible.
It's a parking lot off the main highway, do yourself a favor and just drive another 5-10 miles for something better
We stayed for about a week and a half and used Starlink as our everyday internet source (60+ mbps download, no interruptions). AT&T cell signal was decent. We enjoyed taking the canoe and kayak out on the lake, cooked a nice steak meal in the pavilion, accessible sites w/electric and water hookups, showers were nice and hot. There is a dump station at the front of the park. Only downside is that the campground is located right next to some sort of waste treatment field. We saw a few bald eagles and a snowy owl during our stay, very cool
We stayed here a few times in summer of 2020. AT&T was too spotty for internet use (around 2 bars, 3 at best). Great State Forest campground with multiple sites; vault toilets, hand pump water, was $15/night then (likely $20 now), no reservations. Pretty Lake is connected to other lakes and is excellent for kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. We also enjoyed the hiking trail several times with our dogs. Don't come here if you hate gorgeous views and outdoor recreation!
Small township campground with vault toilets, artesian well, 20/30 amp hook-ups, and Fox River access, $20/night (no reservations). Sites are easy to access and off of a main road. We used AT&T for daily internet use, it was very reliable at around 30-80 mbps download speeds. It hasn't been too crowded any time we've been there, can be buggy since it's on the river. The Fox River Pathway hiking trail begins just down the road from the park
Beautiful State Forest campground - vault toilets, hand pump water, $20/night (no reservations). We stayed on site #2 and used Starlink running off of a generator for everyday internet use - about 30-70 mbps download, some interruptions from trees but still reliable. AT&T was only getting 1 bar where we were. Well-maintained campground, would stay again.
I wouldn't suggest this park for larger rigs though - it is a long drive in and maneuvering within the park may be difficult.
