Are we in Texas anymore?

River, lake, waterfalls, caves, canyons….what?! best burgers ever— right outside the park at the General store.

Another amazing campground

Spent 4 days here — Drove down to Santa Elena canyon. Breathtaking. The drive alone was worth taking through the park. Recommend head lamp during sunset. 2 miles.

South rim loop - total of 13 miles took us 7 & 1/2 hours. There is a 19 mile option.

Lost mine trail - just as breath taking as the south rim. 2 mile trail (4total) 2hrs — when you think you’ve reached the end. KEEP GOING!! Incredible views— big bend river tours. **Took us an hour out of the park, the drive alone again- worth it. Easy float, easy rapids.

Ate at a Mexican restaurant in Terlingua! Super yummy and drove through ghost town!

Incredible

Camp location was as close to heaven on earth I could find! 10 min drive from town if needed— we were surrounded by forests and mountains. Couldn’t find any hikes walking distance from our camp— but drove to many. I highly recommend driving 15 minutes into the mountains and hike part of the Continental divide; it’s a twofer, breath taking views and experiencing a part of history! We got lucky with first come first serve at site #13! Right next to the river. Let the gushing waters put you right to sleep! The drive further in the Forrest to Del Norte was pretty gnarly terrain && totally worth it.
