Nice campsite but beware of Bears!

Bathrooms were nice. A very clean campground. Showers only located in a few spots- coin operated. Maybe it was bc of Covid but there wasn’t a spot to wash dishes. Each site had a table, water spigot, and bear box. A bear came through the campsite which was interesting. The ranger warned us this would happen so everyone knew to make loud noises to scare the bear away. Sites were pretty far apart which was nice. We had cell reception on Verizon.

Nice reservable dispersed camping

If you want to have a reserved spot then this is a great place. It does take 40min to get to Springdale and about 4-5 miles of that is on a packed dirt road which we had to go fairly slow on. We were in a 2WD VW Jetta sport wagon, we made it, just had to go slow. Sites have plenty of space between them so you’re not on top of other people. Amazing view of canyon and stars. Port-a-potty’s were fairly clean. Each site had a fire ring. We got caught in high winds one day/night that nearly blew our tent down and covered everything in a thick layer of dust so beware. The dirt roads in the campground kick up a ton of dust when people drive by. No water, no showers, no cell reception either and we have Verizon. A guy on a horse came around to check if you had a reservation or not. That was the only type of check-in or out process there was.

Amazing location, tough roads

Awesome place relatively close to Zion. Fairly popular but sites are far apart so you aren’t on top of each other. We had campers on either side of us but they were far enough way that you can’t overhear anything. The road in was fine, and there are several spots to be claimed. We stopped before going up the first large hill due to rough road conditions and we were in a 2WD VW sport wagon. Stars were amazing! Highly recommend. We got there around 3/4pm on a Saturday in October and snagged one of the last spots before the rough road up the hill.

Easy Camprground near water

Very casual campground near the lake. Very basic campsites with table, fire pit, gravel tent site, lantern stand. Fairly clean site but sites are pretty close to one another. Bathrooms were open but not clean and no soap to wash hands. There was a fair bit of road noise during the night that kept us awake.
