We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend so it was very busy, even with some rain showers.

We stayed at site 23 for 3 nights. this site is located next to the boat ramp and parking lot so there was a lot of traffic. It’s next to the water but 3-4 feet above the water line and blocked by bushes and low hanging trees. There are a couple widow makers above so use caution during storms.

We moved to site 18 which was level with the water and pretty wide open. This area of the campground was much better. The only negative was the amount of ants, which we kept out of the camper with comet.

There was a 3 foot gator around most of the weekend. Some gar and blue cats to catch along with a lot of small crappie.

The facilities were clean. I think there was only one dumpster that is too far to walk with trash. Ice is for sale when social distancing rules go away.

This was a pretty cool campground tucked away in the woods. Our site was shady most of the day and well spaced from other sites. Some sites have stairs to the water, to a beach big enough for one person to fish or to tie up a jon boat.

There is no firewood for sale here. The bathrooms were very clean and a laundry room (closed due to COVID). Lots of fireflies and some mean mosquitoes. Early in the morning you can see some huge paddlefish jumping in the water.

30 and 50 amp power, water hookup (be sure to have a pressure regulator) and the dump station is in the middle of the campground.

We took our 23 foot forest river TT on its maiden voyage here in mid June. It was easy to navigate even though it was dark. Nice level site. There is 30 and 50 amp electric and good water pressure.

We stayed in site 18 by the water, most lakeside sites are about 20 feet from shore, and are mostly grass besides the driveway and tent pad. While we loved the campground we probably wouldn’t go back to this site. There were 2 knockdown trees in front of the site, which made fishing hard. There was also a beehive in the tree close to the fire pit.

The sites away from the water looked to be uneven and on a slope so beware if you take an rv.

There is a swimming beach, a pier, and plenty of place to tie up a boat. We plan to return and explore some more!
