We were so satisfied with our stay here. Everything was perfect: a lot of privacy on a site, clean and nice bathrooms, beach access, friendly staff.

The only thing is that south coast is full of seaweed so that’s not the best place to swim. You can rent kayaks, lots of fun.

Beautiful park campground on waterfront. Great trails, there is a swimming pond. We saw signs on gators, never noticed any though. Well maintained, clean bathrooms and lots of privacy on sites. The only problem is we had our tent flooded and had to sleep in a car as rain was really heavy. Also lots of bugs, be prepared as it’s waterfront.

Minuses:

• This campground is not well organized - we came at 4pm, office was already closed, we called customer service and they never came back to us.
• You need to find a spot on your own.
• A lot of country people live there on a permanent basis. If you have any problems with hard-core Republicans - that’s not a right place for you.
• Tons of ants. Pluses:
• everything was really clean,
• there is a pool available,
• spacious dining hall,
• you have freedom to pick your own spot
• stunning lake view
• nice nature trail

Amazing spot for camping and hiking! Bathrooms were okay, overall everything was clean. They have numerous trails to enjoy. We saw bunch of gators, various birds, raccoons and other animals. Highly recommended!
