Reserve well in advance for this popular and lovely campground. Nice bathrooms, lots of bike trails, private sites(some right on the water), wonderful beaches. Lots to do and close to St Pete.

It’s a wide open widely spaced campground. We go there every May for birding. There’s a lodge there, too, and large cabins. Bathrooms are nice.

There are only a few sites with electricity. The sites are spaced out next to dunes by the ocean. Very lovely when we were there in October with very few other people and very few bugs. . It can get very windy at times. The bathrooms were beautiful and the showers nice and warm. The campground is right next to the road and construction is constantly audible. But we didn’t hang out in the campground anyway.

The park is beautiful but the sites were small and crammed extremely close together and dirty. It was loud and the bathrooms were not well kept.

It’s out of the way but the roads are good and it’s worth the trip. Huge sites, nice bathrooms, hot water, beautiful lake.
