We are road tripping for part of our honey moon and have a van camper. We wanted a place to sleep and not feel like we’d be waking up to someone knocking on the door and telling us to hit the road lol. This park and ride was perfect. We parked all the way in the back. There were some RV’s there and other car campers. If you’re looking for a place to sleep to hit the road again the next day, this is your spot. And it’s free. But please let’s keep it free. There’s people going in and leaving trash. The park and ride has no trash cans. So you need to leave with the trash you come in with.
We were driving thru and needed a place to van camp. Found this location from the dyrt app. The camp site is located on park grounds. If you have little ones they’ll have fun on the playground. Parking was easy to pick for us. There’s also hot showers which is only open from 7AM to 9PM. Someone will turn the water access off outside of those time frames. They will also allow showers with no camping option which is $4. Overall for the stay being only $47, having the options of a hot shower, rest rooms and ability to have a fire pit and the convenience of the Big Sur, makes this site worth it.
We are road tripping for our honey moon and are letting the gods decide on where we were van camping once a destination has been confirmed. We accidentally ran into this parkway and let me tell you…. You’d be crazy not to stay. Views were amazing to fall asleep to and wake up to.
You can bring your own wood, have a fire where you camp. Don’t forget your campfire stove, there are porta-potties. As long as your self contained in a RV, car, bus, you are golden. Stay…. It will be a memorable trip. And you can’t beat the price.
