A great start- I cant wait to see what they do!

Our stay at this place has been nothing short of perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The staff here has been incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure that our every need is met. If it’s a tent already set up and waiting for you, one of the many tiny houses on site, or even a Cabin with all the amenities- they will be able to accommodate you. While we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here, it is clear that there are ongoing renovations and improvements taking place. The potential of this place is evident, and we cannot wait to see the final result. Based on what we have already experienced, we have no doubt that it is going to be amazing!

If you’re going to the Mishawaka for a show, the shuttle from Riverside runs to the Amish every 15 minutes making it SUPER convenient to attend a concert. Don’t forget to grab some food before the show too!!

Great experience!

I called to see if they had room about 3 weeks out. We were just looking for a weekend stay. Everywhere else was booked so I wasn’t hopeful. The owner answered the phone, even gave me a little background about the place- and was happy to take my booking. He accepted my card over the phone without issue. He did not assign us a site until we arrived however which initially made me nervous. But we ended up with a great spot and we were happy. It is nice and wooded through most of the park. There are several buildings onsite that we didn’t get to peek into due to other plans around the area. We will definitely be back! Something to note: we had zero cell service though att. There was internet supplied in the park, but it disappeared the 2nd morning. I inquired on the internet and was told there wasn’t a problem. We will just plan for that next time.

Nice place

We camped here as something to do for my step-dads birthday. We had site’s 100 & 97 from Thursday through Sunday. The river was very nice. The sites were a little uneven but not too bad. They are VERY close together. Thankfully it wasn’t busy when we were there. Not a whole lot for kids to do. The ‘wading pool’ looked a little gross at the bottom. The campground was quiet for the most part with the exception of one seasonal site along the river doing amplified karaoke one night. They shut it down at quiet time hours. The beach is…. Well I wouldn’t call it a beach but it’s a place for little kids to go in as long as they are closely watched- the river is quiet deep.

It was good!

We were hesitant to stay because of the previous owner- I am happy we did however! Our group stayed at sites 36-38. They were nice and level. We did have to pick up some dog poo when we first got there but it wasn’t much thankfully. My son (16) was pretty bored. There was lots of stuff for little kids to do! There was a nice little man-made swimming hole that we didn’t get to use because of the weather. The store didn’t have much in it when we got there. The shelves were filled by evening however! The bar was very big! They only had fried food at the time of our visit- no burgers.

Good campground to do some river floating

We thought we had a small site- until we got there. Site 86 is the smallest on the map but it is not small at all! We have a 33 1/2 ft 5th wheel and had plenty of space. We could have had some tents on the site if we wanted to! The fire pit was away from the level area the RV is to be parked. The electric and water were a little farther away than typical but not too bad.

The owners are awesome and worked with us on our reservation- my friend set the site and I paid for it later. Everyone we spoke to with a seasonal site was very nice and helpful. The campground was quiet for the most part. You could hear there were people were out at their sites but no one was being loud or obnoxious. It was perfect!

Tubing was a bit of a different experience to start off but ended good. We waited for about 40 minutes for the bus. Once the bus came, everyone piled on. We had our own tubes so we put them on ourselves as well as our cooler. We rented two cooler tubes- one for my cooler and one as a “dry” area. We we’re on the bus for about 25 minutes due to too many people getting on and two large groups having to decide who was getting off. Once we arrived at the drop off site- all the cooler tubes were grabbed right away. They made sure we got both tubes we paid for before we pushed off down the river. I was very thankful for this!!!!! My personal tube popped half way down the river due to it being old so I’m very happy we had the other two tubes!

The river was nice! Low in some spots but we never had to get out and drag our stuff. Some trees to paddle around occasionally, but nothing out of the normal.

One thing I was surprised at was this campground does not have a bar and or grill.

Awesome place

Amazing customer service! So much for the kids to do!!!

A blast for the kids!

We camped on site 120, a “red carpet” site which means full hooks ups, grill, fire pit, cement slab, 2 wrist bands to do the activities and 2 welcome drinks. I used to come here as a kid and the park still looks very similar still- nostalgic for sure! But they’ve definitely made some upgrades to the pool- which has a slide a separate hot tub and a separate kids area. The roads are wide enough, but very narrow. We are a 33.6 ft rig so navigating around parked cars was a challenge as people had their vehicles right to the road. TIP: the site markers come out of the ground so if you need to, remove it so you can get in. There is TONS OF STUFF for kids to do here!!! It was Halloween theme weekend so there was trick or treating, a haunted house, dance party… lots of stuff. My fav thing as an adult is the “Hey ride!” They pile people onto a trailer turned wagon and drive around the park and yell “HEEEEEYYYYYYYYY” to every person they see!!! (Don’t forget to say “Hey!” back and wave! 🙂) it’s so fun to see the kids on that thing! They also do ceramics and have a wonderful selection of food at the Pool (as well as a wonderfully stocked bar.) They do Yogi Bear Cartoons each night which is neat! The rent golf carts by 30 minutes but the park isn’t giant, you don’t really need a cart unless it’s for the hills. If you go to the boat area- take your vehicle if you don’t want a work out on the way back up.

Ok as a pit-stop

We arrived on a Friday evening. We had a pull through site and a cabin booked. The pull-through sites are SMALL! (Cabins were basic.) If you happen to have a neighbor, you share campfire and picnic table space. Luckily enough, this place doesn’t seem like it’s ever THAT busy. There wasn’t much for the kids to do. They are all 11 and older and the playground was less than appealing to them. The pool was just recently opened and was SUPER warm. they also had a little game room and store. The first night we were there, a cabin-renter up the hill and his wife were arguing loudly and seem to be regulars at this place. While it provided entertainment in the otherwise quiet and boring campground- it was a little off putting when he started driving his truck through the pull through site next to us frequently like a mad-man. We eventually put stuff in the site to prevent this. The one staff member was friendly. We did venture out to see the falls, it was busy but worth the trip.

Our favorite local spot!

My kids have been camping with my mom here for years- since it was Kastle. We started a couple years ago. This is such an amazing family campground! Kids of all ages everywhere. After dark the kids usually have a big game of something up at the playground and I have to tell them to be home at a decent time or they’d stay out all night! The office is hard to get a hold of- I’ve learned to call on the weekends during check in or check out times so someone is in the office. There are themes each week so make sure to check their site before so u know! It might be Pirate week or something else fun! There is a bar and a pool and a poolside bar. A small no-wake lake is on premise. and they have golf cart rentals! Halloween weekends are by far the most popular weekends for good reason!! I really could go on and on. Haha This has been my kids favorite spot for almost a decade! We stayed last year every other weekend from mid-may through September. This year we will be back for 3 weekends simply because we have other places booked with friends a lot.
