Perfect location

Close to Cloudland Canyon & Lookout Mountain & Chattanooga! Clean facility and friendly staff! The view from the campground alone was beautiful! Also close to Raccoon Mountain! Could spend 4-5 days here and have a lot to do! We wished we had more time!

Beautiful in the fall

We hiked here! Although the waterfall was not as big as expected due to a low rainy season the hike was beautiful! And the oversight views incredible! Perfect place for fall in North Georgia! There are a ton of steps to and from the bottom of the canyon where we hiked, and there are several trails to take! Was a busy trail during the fall.

Beautiful beach!

The place to camp in Destin FL! Close to shops. Restaurants & bars! Close to 30A!

Mini Grand Canyon

Definitely worth a pit stop! We didn’t camp but we hiked around the rim it was really neat to see, the Canyon was formed from poor farming techniques! There were also a bunch of cats! We stopped here on the way back from Pine Mountain, GA

Awesome bike trails and boardwalks

They have biking trails throughout the park - and boardwalks to go over to the beach! If you aren’t camping you can pay to just bike! There is a pool, tennis courts, laundry facilities & boat ramps! They have information sessions about local animals in the park as well. Campground is spacious - bring your own fire pit there is a grill available but that’s all. Bathhouses are so clean! Best way to stay in the orange beach area!

Wake up to the waves

pack light! Have to do about a mile trek in the sand to get to the primitive camping area & it’s FREE! Can build fires right in the sand and set up! Absolutely one of my favorite places! Can cash crabs on the beach and wake up to the seagulls!

Firefly central!

Love this camping spot! Overlooks a lake or hidden In the woods! The liberty bell pool is great during the summer! The evenings are still cool in the summer as well! A lot of hiking to do and the wild adventures is a great family trip! We’ve made it a tradition to go every year!

Lake views!

Loved this campground! There are 5 wall up sites - (bring a wagon) - can’t park at your site and the campsites are up a small hill hidden in the woods. Private sites - water and electric - fireflys everywhere! There are also 10 yurts - overlooking the lake. The bathhouse is clean and there are two showers. There is a playground and a picnic camping area. The staff are extremely friendly! There are 15 miles of hiking trails and they are alongside the creek! Beautiful views. Also the lake has kayak / canoe rentals and fishing! 30 minutes from Atlanta/15 from six flags! Very convenient to grocery stores and small town restaurants!

Great weekend in the woods!

Loved it here! The camp grounds were clean, staff was friendly & hiking trails were all over! It is close to the Animal safari which is a must do! & Callaway Gardens! Cute little town as well! Our camp site over looked the lake and it was a peaceful weekend! Check out the pool too it's the original design from when the park first opened! We spent Sunday there!

Need fans & bug spray! But other than that the showers / bathrooms are close by & clean, you can take a short walk to watch the sunrise & sunset .. There is a camp store that provides basics that are usually forgotten, you can explore the old forts, bike down trails, kayak & paddle board or surf the waves! Dog friendly as well! You will love it!!

Right on the state line!

Utah & Arizona line is right through Lake Powell which is right across the street from the camp site! Non electric site but still wasn't over to hot at night! There were jack rabbits to greet us in the morning! We star gazed before bed! The water at lake Powell was refreshing just watch out for sand Spurs! We will be back! The next morning we drove to Grand Staircase Escalante, which is right over the line in Utah and hiked around highly recommend this if you can staying! The camp site is in close proximity to Horseshoe bend & Antelope Canyon; both are a must see! We will be back!

Best view of the stars at night!

Non electric but we had a great view of the stars, stayed in July hot during the day and cold at night, had trees around our site so we could have our live infinitely hammock! Very cute site

Stayed at the Teepee! We loved it, cozy and comfortable! Shower facilities were nice.. There was a playground & a food truck for breakfast as well! We will be back!
