OK but not great

We stopped by while touring the area. The lake is pretty and quite large. There are sailboats, powerboats. We rented a kayak on the lake and it was very pretty!!

Many people paddle boarding, swimming, kayaking. Parking was limited and we are at the restaurant. We sat at the bar since outdoor seating was full. The bar server was abrupt at first but seemed to warm up a bit as time went on in our visit. As we looked around and listened to the patrons (mainly locals, seemed like yuppies)we thought their attitudes were somewhat elitist.

There is only 1 shower for the entire campground so it is very difficult to figure out when you are going to get clean and they CHARGE YOU $5 TO SHOWER!!!!! Never heard of a campground doing that. We didn't like it, wouldn't go back!

Camper Cabins

We booked our stay back in November 2016 - It's a good idea to plan ahead anytime you look to stay in or around Bend. It's located off the beautiful Cascade Lakes Hwy. The cabin was super cute. No electricity but who needs it! We enjoyed taking advantage of the Lake near by & the hikes in the area. After a long day of hiking in August it was nice to stop by the To Go Window of the resort & get some ice cream & a side of fries. We stayed two nights with small kids & the cabin was perfect. We stayed in the upper loft & the kiddos slept in the queen bed on the lower level. I would suggest staying here for sure. I personally like a bit more privacy, but it was not over whelming. It's very busy in the summer due to relay races & swimming competitions so be sure to check the local event calendar. Another plus in the summer is the live music on Saturday nights.

Overall well!!!

Site is good although needed some keeping up when I was there. Bathroom had not been dumped in a long time and they were out of most needs. The site was very pretty and had potential! The falls that you can hike to are super close! Right out the back of the campsite and it is a easy trail for dogs and young kids. There is a spot to swim at the bottom as well! You can even climb to the top of the falls which makes for a fun view!

Awesome trip!

This was a pretty easy hike to this little falls. The terrain was a little slippery, but then again we went in March. The falls were full from all the rain and the forrest was just gorgeous. Good parking and falls are easy to find. With a good group of people it can be a ton of fun!

I just finished my fourth sunrise hike this weekend! Smith Rock always delivers amazing views for sunrise And sunset. The hard hike up mystery trail is definitely worth it. The hike down takes you along a slow moving river which is great for cooling off especially in the summertime. One of my favorite hikes!

Great spot!

Definitely a five star campground. Close to the falls and great trails. State workers were so friendly to my family and always willing to help!

Good place to stop for a few days

Amazing views! Trillium is such a amazing lake and there are a ton of activities to do. The lake was picturesque! The drive to it was amazing too which breathtaking views. Reservations are hard to get we booked at 6am, six months out and felt very lucky to get three spots for our family Campout. We did not get water front spots however well groomed wide trails to the water edge made it easy to take our toys down for the day. Make sure to plan in advance! Such peaceful place to sit down and relax, enjoy the view of Mt. Hood and click some great pictures. 1 con though - we had trouble locating restrooms there.

Super cool place for a weekend getaway!

I come to this campground every fathers day with my family since I was little. Even though you don't get cell service throughout most the lake, except on the lake, it always is a great place to unplug. Great views and fishing is amazing!

Campground was one of the best I have been to. Great location to the falls and trailheads, super clean, and the staff was very friendly. Will definitely be going back this summer!

Loon Lake, Oregon

I loved this camp ground! Having a swimming area for children is a total plus. The docks are so fun to hang out around with friends and family and being able to bring a boat on the lake made the trip all that more fun. Great staff and very friendly. Definitely recommend!
