New park with nice open spaces w mostly level gravel parking. New trees that will provide shade in the future. Water and power sites available as well as dry and tent sites Free wifi which was good because there was no Verizon cell service. Also available at the ranger station. Walking distance to the ranger station and town. Close to the entrance of the City of Rocks. Onsite informal manager and owner both stopped by to ensure we did not need anything. A great experience.
These sites are all 50 amp service in the section we stayed. All the sites are paved with long pads sufficient for just about any rv. Lots of room between sites and the staff was super friendly. There is also a guided tour available to go through their enormous caves. There were super clean vault tiolets and seperate showers. Probably the best state park we have ever stayed at.
This was a clean and well maintained campground. Only 12 sites most of which are right off the bank of the Kettle River. There was some space between most of the sites. We squeezed our 30 foot trailer and truck into pull through site 11. The was a clean and stocked vault tiolet on site. I had 2-3 bars on my Verizon phone. Slow but good enough to check email and search local info. The river was down and we were told it is drawn down in Febraury but back up to high levels first week of July. Beautiful area.
Camp ground maintained by super nice camp hosts from hoodoo. Lost of trees and space between sites. Easy access to Rimrock lake. A littel road noise but worth the views and access to the lake. No power but several pit tiolets on site.
