Nice campground. lower camp ground has circle type pads that hold 4 campers good for groups (friends, Family) upper camp ground has more single sites. as of 2020 more sites under construction both upper and lower area. they have some cabins and a couple walk in tent sites (short walk) WIFI in lower part of camp ground.
Grundy County lake camp ground has a separate entrance from the lake so follow signs on road past park. 37 electric camping pads with water spigot every other pad (you must share although seen alot of rude people hogging the water) no sewer hookups but, there is a dump station. NO SHADE at this campground (a few new trees so in about 10-20 years maybe shade) Nice little lake but, its a little walk or drive from camp ground.
small park with maybe one primitive tent site no fire pit 24 hour is the length you can stay. 2 small fishing ponds.
Wooded campground by the Shell Rock River (park has river access and boat ramp, campground not on river). 27 Electric only sites on grass camping pads. $15 a night , free on Wednesdays (except holidays). fish pond and river fishing. playground and clean shower/bathroom house. No trailer dump in park but, available in nearby town of Shell Rock.
Nice wooded campground on the Shell Rock River. 19 electric sites (no water/sewer hookup at sites), 11 sites are right on the river with gravel pads the remaining sites are grass and away from the river. couple primitive sites scattered around camp ground. all sites have fire pits and picnic tables. park connected to the Rolling Prairie Trail (20 mile hard surface bike trail) No trailer dump site and no trash receptacles (pack out trash)
Nice campground with some non-electric sites on bank of Cedar River, clean shower house and flush toilets. On Cedar Valley bike trail (100+miles of interconnecting bike trial. major Hwy on two sides of park, sleeping in a tenet it was very noisy at night. and a train track close by (again at night)
Nice County camp ground (Black Hawk), Electric and non-electric sites. campground sits on edge of lake. Bike trail runs by campground and connects to the Cedar Valley Trail (100+miles of interconnecting hard surface bike trails). NOTE: Some Hwy noise at night as Hwy 218 is right next door)
