Wonderful campground in a great location

It was the perfect spot for a night. The owners were so helpful and nice. The sites might be a little small but its cozy.

Beautiful location

Great spot with a good view of the badlands formations. The campground is exposed which gives a great view of the sky at night. Regular ranger programs are a great way to end an evening.

Quiet and beautiful

This campground has 6 campsites that can accomodate tents, trailers, and motorhomes. It a limited service campground, first come first served

Quiet, secluded

Quiet spot about 5 miles off the interstate, but you can't hear much noise. This area is mostly woodlands and glades. Danville Glades Natural Area (361 acres with primitive camping and a fishable stream (Clear Creek). There are two camping areas - one area has ~8 individual campsites and pit toilet. The other area is a gravel parking lot at end of road. No bathroom at parking area.

Great campground

Beautiful spot very close to the visitor center and cave tours. Access to the old railroad trail in right in the campground.

Beautiful location

Great, quiet spot to pitch a tent. A beautiful trail up the side of the mountain leads to great views and starts right at the campground.

Great location

Great spot to hang out for a few days. The campground is close to the beautiful beach and provides good access to the historical sites and trails. The campground was busy so make to reserve a spot in advance.

local spot

RV sites are cramped, but the tent site have lots of room. A bridge runs right over the campground and it can be loud at night with cars driving over it. The kitchen and common room is really nice to hang out in, and there are always events happening at the campground or nearby.

Beautiful location

Very beautiful place with vault toilets only and no running water. There are a few bears in the region so I would hang my food just to be safe. There aren't any specific spots for RV's but there are a few cleared areas with room to park an RV or trailer. Near the entrance to the facility right off of the highway there is a large gravel parking lot. This facility has day-use for rock climbing. Motorcycle friendly but there is a sign stating no OHV's. No trash cans, pack-in/pack-out facility. Donations are accepted but it is a FREE campsite.

Lots of space to camp, secluded

This a horse camp, but there is plenty of space to just pitch a tent if needed. Free site with a beautiful backdrop

Small, secluded, beautiful

Small campsite but no one else was there, so it was perfect. There is a porta potty, water pump, and picnic table. Wonderful spot on the river.

Wonderful campground

The office staff were very nice. Also, its the cheapest place to camp in the area. The forest is beautiful.

Great park and camping in the middle of the city

There are lots of campsites so finding one last minute shouldn't be a problem. The mosquitoes were biting but could have been worse. You can barely hear the traffic from the road outside the park.

Nice quiet small inexpensive campground

The neighbors were nice and quiet. The campsite were nice and large. There are porta potties on site but a bathroom with sinks is somewhat of a walk.

Great campground

There are no reservations, so get there early to get yourself a spot! There are a lot fewer campsites than RV sites.

Very cute RV park

Great little campground with very nice owners. My only complaint is that the showers cost money!

Lovely quiet spot

The tipis were a lot of fun to sleep in! The river trail was beautiful to walk.

Good spot but cramped and crowded

There was so much smoke and campers so close together and the lack of trees in part of the campground that it look like a refugee camp. The back of the campground was beautiful and much more quiet and spread out.

Beautiful spot, wonderful campground

Great access to the park and trails along the lake.

Really nice campground

The staff was super nice, and I loved that they showed "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" every night during the summer with Devil's Tower in the background. The campground is right next to the national monument. The tent sites were somewhat exposed, but that gives a good view of the monument.
