Private Campground!

Private group campground with 7 sites. River access. Vault toilet, no water. Road noise during busy times can be a bit much. Beautiful views from camp. No cell service!

Popular...book ahead!

Great county operated campground campsites are spacious and private. Reserve ahead very popular especially during the summer. Flushing toilets and showers. Lake access with boat launch and fishing dock. Small loop trail. We do enjoy this campground for a quick getaway. Fall camping here is beautiful.

Cabins available, also the most amazing playground.

KOA experience

Most KOA campgrounds are similar this one does not disappoint. Nice amenities and activities wide variety of spaces cabins or even a Teepee!! Good location, activities nearby. Staff was fantastic.

Busy but nice.

Beautiful setting, several trails, etc. Definitely a tourist destination campsites are a little close for comfort but it is very nice large campground. Beach access as well as a freshwater Lake lots of day use areas as well. Some cabins available, mostly standard sites.

Lake Glamping!

Park setting, not rustic camping at all. Lake is wonderful, beach area, showers, fishing, boat launch, jet skis….all the amenities. Beautiful grounds, close to Winthrop for outings, and other Methow activities!

Love the creek!

Nice campground, busy summer = road noise. Early spring and fall much more tranquil. Love playing the creek. Campsites are nicely spaced and private enough. Overall nice stay!

Hands down favorite!

Top 5 favorite! Forest and beach. Great campsites, quiet and just beautiful. Tons of day use sites, great park and playground, lots of beach. Shallow bay great for swimming, sandcastles, kayak, fishing, crabbing. Birch Bay proper has great restaurants, shops, great paths for walking and biking. Oh!! And did I mention the Sugar Shack ice cream truck rolls through?!

Come on ride the train.....

Oh my. Location and sites are great. River access, really beautiful.

Party central as campers must feel the road and train noise drown them out?

If you are going to camp here…choose the river side of camp. The wooded side is miserable…you basically will feel like a train is headed right through your camp every few hours…especially awesome for that good night's sleep!!

Cell service spotty at best.

All that being said if you are on your way through, or looking to access local trails and no other options..it will work.

It's all about the lake

The day use area, fishing dock and boating areas are phenomenal! Reserveable day use shelters, lots of picnic tables and BBQs for all. Also lots of open grassy /park areas that are great for games, picnic, etc.

Camp sites are a little close for comfort, but if planning with others and reserve to be neighbors it would work great! 3 small camp loops 2 have hooks ups, 3rd is tent loop, however the 2 spots near host also have hookups on tent loop. Clean and well kept, bathrooms are great and there are showers. Water spigots throughout camp.

T-mobile cell service worked at camp.

All in all a great weekend at the lake (as long as you have good neighbors LOL).

Head to the river!

Great little campground if you want to head to the river!

Small open campground for dry camping. 14 sites, a few yurts, and lots of day use space. Short walk to beach on river. Great river floating, swimming etc. Some trails and a huge open field for play!!

Due to COVID bathrooms were closed, port-o- potties were in place, and badly needed serviced. T-mobile cell service was spotty at best.

On hot days can be busy, but a great time was had by all.
