First the bad news: the sites are not perfectly level. That is it.

Now the good news: Management is a joy to communicate with. Bathrooms & showers are spacious, CLEAN, and they are air conditioned!

There are seasonal campers here for sure, but that wasn't a negative. The campground is quiet and well maintained. Hookups were excellent. The pool was the perfect size for this campground and was never crowded. The dumpster is centrally located and easy to find. On arrival, you get a map and good information. Across the street from Diamond Caverns! Which is more appealing to the eye than Mammoth Cave due to being a wet cave which forms stalactites and stalagmites - which you will see very little of in Mammoth Cave. They have a miniature golf course, but it was so hot in late July we passed.

Clean. Friendly. Affordable. Nice pool. Nice sites. Nice spacing between sites. We loved our stay and decided to stay an extra night. Plenty of open space to walk the dogs! We're not a member, but we would absolutely stay here again! I called the office to get an extra night and they said they didn't have any availability, so I went on the website and booked it;-)

Beautiful views. Great sites. Excellent communication from the manager. We got a pull-through site in the middle. We brought our two dogs and they loved this place. Our kids did too. No there's no playground, but our 7 and 8 year old girls loved this place. No there's no pool. It was very quiet and peaceful. Every day the manager and his crew were working on maintaining the grounds. The only complaint - there's no sign on the bathroom/shower house! Please put up a sign! (It's right next to the office, but you cannot tell it's a bath house because it looks just like the cabins next to it. There's no signs to tell you where the dumpster is either. Ask Don - he's very friendly and accommodating. Oh, the water. Like the other reviewers stated, the water is not for drinking. Bring cases of bottled water. But the water is fine for showering or other things. Even with water filters, it is still brown. I'm guessing that is because of the river. Good luck finding a site with no shade. There's mature trees everywhere! Also, it was very quiet and peaceful. The showers and bathrooms are amazing! Very clean. We'll be back!
