It’s good to know I ✔️it off my bucket list. The energy is serine, the hike up is fairly easy although I would not recommend doing it with very young children.
Beautiful views, quaint little town, tons of history and scenic beauty to enjoy. Goldfield town is a must, there is so much to do and see there. Just know that the attractions do close once the heat averages about 105 and reopen once the heat has gone down.
If your wanting to get out and play in the snow or explore more in depth the beautiful culture of New Mexico, Taos has a little for everyone
New Mexico is a land of wonders and beauty in every turn. From its famous green or red chili and the smell of roasted chiles in the streets to the beautiful sandia mountains that shimmer at sunset to the many parks and recreation areas to explore. New Mexico truly is like no other state and must be on your to bucket list!
I must warn you to please acclimate yourself to the altitude of Colorado if you come from low altitude places or you will feel sick by the time you reach the top. The drive is a little nerve wracking yo say the least. It’s twist & turns from the beginning to the end. The drive takes about an hour to go up & an hour to come down with a break check mid point yo make sure your cars breaks are not over heating. Once up there’s a great store where they serve AMAZING doughnuts, hot chocolate etc and you can buy souvenirs. Take a jacket because odds are no matter the time of the year it will be cooler or colder up there
If your looking for a place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life & time into the devine creation then you’ve come to the perfect place.
