Good overnight spot

We were happy to find a tent spot to park our vancamper on the memorial day weekend. Although we were surrounded by RVers, our site backed up to a line of trees and we could even see the lake from our site, albeit through the trees. The campground wasn't too loud, there was more noise from the boats on the lake and the red-headed woodpeckers. Our site had a picnic table and a grill and a short walk to the bathrooms.

Hidden gem

This place is free to camp if you aren't using utilities, even then it's only $10. The lake is not very large, but we found a great spot by the water. Will definitely be coming back!

Love the prairie!

Limited camping spots available, but the times we've stayed there have rarely been others camping. So, it's peaceful! There is a nice pit toilet with hand sanitizer, tables, and fire rings. There is also a backpacking camping spot out on the prairie.

Great for groups, but not peace and quiet

This place is usually busy and loud with 4-wheelers and rock-crawlers… the tent camping area only had porta-pottys and they were full when we were there. You can drive to the RV area for bathrooms and showers. Camping areas are open (not designated), making it convenient for groups to get together.

Right on the water

Loved the roomy tent site right on the water. Bathrooms were nearby and decent. Would stay again!
