The facilities are fine. I was in the primitive area and they are OK. But don't come here expecting peace and quiet. There is constant traffic to the water area some blasting music and at night kids are running around on golf carts non-stop. I left a day earlier than planned because I couldn't even here my little radio over the bass blasting from someone several hundred yards away.
I just did an overnighter here but it was quiet, good space between spots, access to bathhouse and good fire rings. Nothing bad to say about it.
This is a pretty decent campground typical rustic amenities. The sites are decent size there are some pull through sites for RV's. The lake is very nice, clear water. The biggest complaint I have is it is noisy. There is a significant amount of rd noise and sometimes trains go by blasting the horn at the intersection. There are definitely quieter more secluded campgrounds in the UP but it is fine for a quick overnighter in my opinion.
This is a beautiful little campground with most sites being right on the river. There is a small boat launch. The only knock I can give it is currently they are using a couple portajons that are pretty far spaced out and the water pump was rusty. So just prepare for that.
This campground has some sites that are very shaded and some that are sunny. I stayed in site 15 [I think) and could see the lake from my site. It was a very nice typical state forest campground.
This place has some very nice large sites that you can walk right out to the beach from. The drive in from US2 is kinda long but worth it. If you like secluded quiet campgrounds then check this place out.
