Relaxing on the river

Awesome campground with two of the greatest host/owners Chuck and Laura. We have been coming here for years and always enjoy the time spent here. Beautiful river to float down or paddle up. Saw a bald eagle this past weekend while paddling up past the campground. Some site on the river, some in the woods and some in a field.

Great place on the woods

Nice campground, very well kept, modern and clean restrooms. Family owned and very friendly and personable staff. We stayed at site number 11 and had plenty of room for our 28 foot travel trailer. There were some bigger sites and everything seem to be well wooded. About a 20 minute ride to OOB…We will definitely stay again the next time we are in the area. No motorcycles allowed, I believe because it is right next to Bentley’s motorcycle bar..

Nice place for the price

Older campground, friendly staff with lots of older seasonal sites. We paid $35 for a full hook up and had no problems. Rest rooms could use some updating, the large one was clean, the smaller one not so much and had no TP that day. The fire pits were full of ashes so maybe he only cleans it once a week and we were there on a Wednesday. For that price I would stay there again if I was in the area.

Beach camping...

This campground might not be for everybody, but if you like the beach you should give it a try. The sites are open with maybe one tree on most sites. Sites have paved and concrete driveways and lots of them have a concrete pad that would be under your awning. They recently built a new bathhouse and re-did the dump station to three lanes. Like I said it’s not for everybody weather is pretty much an open field with some sporadic trees, so very little shade. The ocean is on one side and the Merrimack River is on another side with a marsh that is great for canoeing, kayaking and fishing on another side.

Great size sites

Really liked this campground, large sites with full hookups. Beach and boat ramp with some cabins on the water. We stayed at site M-9 and M-10
