My wife and I wanted to get off the road after traveling all day. This place is very convenient. Located right off I-15, it sits right upon the Devil Creek Reservoir. This is a full service RV campground, has all the hook ups for electric, water and dumping. Firewood can be had, either buying it for $6.00, or if you walk along the waterfront, there is plenty there too. For $28.00, you cannot go bad. Very quiet and serene, cattle grazing off on the other side of the reservoir. Nice scenery too.
Clean, nice and pretty scenery. We pulled in here on 9/15/2020, just wanted to get off the road and took a chance. We were able to find a spot, and the host came over and told us it was $48.00. Sorta taken back since there is no electric, water or dump service here.
Learned a lesson.
We pulled in here were able to get a spot that was backed up to the Gallatin river. The cost was only $20.00. We had 3 elk come thru our camp that dusk, was truly a suprise. The host Mike, was very helpful and courteous. The river, surrounding landscape and scenery is something to behold. Absolutely stunningly beautiful. There are trails too…..firewood can be forged from all the down trees on the trail. I thought this was an awesome campsite
My wife and I stayed here after trying to get a campsite at Yellowstone…..which was completely insanely crowded on Sept 16th 2020. We drove north out of Yellowstone, gassed up and was able to dump at a Sinclair station just north of Gardiner, MT. We saw this park, gave it a shot and pulled in.
There was nobody at the office and I asked some guy that worked there who I should contact. He told me to call reservations. I did and nobody answered.
There are 2 halves of this campground, one with full service and the the other that is just camping spaces. There is a potable water spigot at the end. We pulled into a campsite that was about 15 yrds from the Yellowstone river, the surrounding landscape is gorgeous. We stayed, met another nice couple, and had a great time.
We were supposed to pay the camping fee, but nobody was there to collect it. Oh well.
Would recommend if you need to get off the road or out of Yellowstone. Would go back if I had to.
At the time of this review , Sept 2020, everyone and the mom was out camping at tbe Grand Tetons. There were no campsites to be had at all. My wife and I rented an RV and we had tried 3 other sites that were completely full.
I found Toppins on The Dyrt app and were in business. We arricveto out site at 2pm. We were lucky we did. We were able to choose an area that faced the Grand Teton range and the view was awesome.
Be advised, this place filled up very quickly. Get there early. If you can be self contained and handle dispersed camping, you're good to go. Get there early as I stated.
There is plenty of hiking and other activities to do there. Would go back if withouy any hesitation.
