Spent a scary night here but I survived!

Arrived late in the evening, I made dinner with a brisk wind. Later that night I experienced a dandy of a lightning storm. Nice clean toilet but be aware campsite overlooks some fire damage.

Cool place to stay while visiting Crater Lake

Next to Annie creek a few sites are available. 2 asphalt sites then maybe a dozen drive in/tent sites. Annie falls is right up the road and the creek does bring cool air from the mountains. I stayed here 3 nights, close to Crater lake and an organic grocery/motel/TV park that I loved. Smoke from Bootleg fire drove me away.

Could camp here for days.

I came in from the North so I traveled MILES on stone/dirt roads through gorgeous Montana back country. I had the site to myself, sometimes one of the many road construction crews would stop to you the facilities. Awesome campsite if you can forgive the occasional semi or dump truck.

Quite prairie setting.

Beautiful flowers dot the rolling hills of this campground. Restrooms were well maintained, one for the campground, and water available. The "reservoir" was but a marsh when I visited in June. It seems out of the way but in the background you can hear I-70 traffic. 3 areas suitable for RV/Group camping but plenty room for tents.

Nice semi-quite place to overnight.

All and all nice place. Some roads are gravel and chalky leading there (my cars still covered and I'm in Colorado now!) Pit Toilets were nice, one for campground. 2 potable water sites. Campsites were not well defined and judging by the beer cans in some site fire rings it might get rowdy on the weekend.
