We originally had a one day stay here but after some glitches we settled into a spot and it was very nice. At first (and this has nothing to do with camp it’s the people and their pets that make or break a visit) we had lots kid noise some had 8 kids!! Lots barking and we have dogs so I love dogs just not dogs with no training . But inside the rv we were fine. Next day lots people left and luckily for us a lot of noisy spots were now quiet. So we booked another night. We even talked about another night but this space wasn’t available and to move is a lot of work. Camp site mostly level. Lots trees for shade. Nice fire pit and table at each site. Owners unbelievably nice. They lent us a tool to fix a problem. Lots tents amongst rv’s. Tents have nice big spots with power. We detached tow because we read interior roads narrow. Plus we wanted to site see. The roads are narrow but doable in our 37’ motorhome. Yes big rocks but it’s ok. To leave we think we can attach tow and get out fine. I’d come back here again. But you know it all depends on who pulls in near or next to you and many are respectful and understand rv etiquette but there’s a definite group who are here for their own enjoyment without consideration for others. All it takes is one and that can happen at any campsite. But we we comfortable here.
Beautiful place really well maintained. Impressive so clean lots fun activities for children. But for us I couldn’t wait to leave. We are a quiet couple and this place is social And noisy non stop! Groups gather at various sites continuously. I think maybe because it’s a weekend IDK but I really felt I couldn’t relax while there. Lots barking dogs, lots family playing games on their sites making lots noise. Again if you are part of that it’s great. We wanted peace and quiet . We didn’t get it. Our neighbors are apparently social central so it never stopped by our site .
But if you have kids and love to party non stop this is your place! But not for us. Can’t wait to go!!
Pro: we had a great spot (30) and great view of water. Many spots not as close to water as we were. Spot gravel and took us few extra minutes to move around to find most level Part . Owners great and on site. Close to Acadia National park, great lobster places and many other sites. Sue prepared a super handout that tells you what’s around. For the most part it was peaceful. Some loud music ( odd how people think everyone wants to hear their music), and Peter rides semi loud tractor vehicle to sell wood and do chores. But he’s got little choice I guess. It was pricey and when we asked to reserve next year 2022 the price for that spot went up so much it’s just not what we want to pay. View is great but … So we won’t be back. Maybe spots further away from water are less! IDK. Also # 30 is 30 amp we are 50 we knew that coming in no surprise. And we were fine with 30 amp! Lots to do nearby. We had a great time in that part of Maine. Sue really went out of her way to offer me the best spot she had open .
Pro Shade Safe Staff lovely Easy off highway Easy entrance to RV park Park is old but hosts doing their best to keep mowed etc. well we only had sand and pine needles.
Con: pay for wifi Space so so close Spaces sand and not level Utilities on odd side so we had to buy extensions to reach. We had no private outdoor space . The full timers have great spots. Maneuvering is tricky due to lots trees and lots close rv’s.
