flies, no water, and no privacy

This is a fine campground, just remember that there is no water anywhere nearby. Also encountered a massive amount of horse flies and normal black flies, which swarmed me every time I tried to cook. It's also very open and you can see into every campsite, and hear people driving fast and loud on the main road. Had a way better time camping along the Alsea river on HWY 34.

perfect

Holland lake is an incredible mountain lake. The campground was quiet, the hosts were friendly, and there are paddle boards and kayaks for rent.

Great camp site, very busy

One of my favorite sites, but recently it has become super crowded on any summer days. I was lucky to snag a site at 1 pm on a July weekday, so I imagine it would be difficult later in the day or on a weekend.

Beautiful, hard to access

Really nice spot, but 15 ish miles down a rough gravel road. The campground itself is very primitive, and the loop would be hard to drive for anything longer than a car. It was tight for my suburban. Definitely worth it if you have a smaller rig and want to get away.
