One of the nicer KOAs I’ve visited. Laundry, Pool, splash pad, bike rental and more. Close to historical sights too!
The sights are packed in, we couldn’t open our awning all the way. There was also a smell of septic with the breeze. The pool was nice but didn’t open till 11.
Beautiful views, tons of hiking & biking trails. Wild life is visible everywhere you go. the children’s programs offered on the weekends were great too.
beautiful park with a lot of space between campers. Cute beach with an odd gate? Bring your kayak!
There are so many amazing Hikes in the area all totally doable with kids. The park itself is packed in pretty tight, the pit toilets are bad, and the walk to the main bath house is far from many sights. As a plus it has a pool, but it doesn’t open till 11am.
The campground is about a half a mile from Lake Michigan beach access, which requires you to drive or walk. If you are planning on enjoying one of Michigan’s oceans get there early by Noon they were turning cars away because of lack of parking on the weekend. The campground it’s self is busy, not many sites open even on the weekday.
