We had an awesome long weekend here. This campground doesn’t cut corners and the attention to details makes all the difference. So many great site options depending on your needs / preferences. We had site 20 which we liked! Tucked in the woods but near activities. The store is well stocked and also has a variety of sweet treats! My kids enjoyed the beautiful Mini golf course, splashing in the creek, the pool and the pedal carts. Everyone was friendly and the staff was amazing!! We can’t wait to go back!
We had a great Memorial Day weekend here — it was our first visit and we didn’t know what to expect. This is the campground to come to with kids! If you’re looking for activities and fun and friendliness this is the spot. If you do not like kids running around (sometimes through your campsite to get to the creek) or lots of laughing and biking and ball-playing snd water-splashing… maybe don’t go here. We have 3 young kids so this was great! We spent the weekend participating in their MANY activities as well as fishing and swimming in the creek. The concierge service here is unreal! You can get just about anything from the store delivered to your site. The firewood is plentiful and affordable, the honey wagon makes the E/W sites no problem! And the price is right. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. The owner and his young family are busy making it the best experience for their guests. We are looking forward to going back next season!
We enjoyed our stay here — but mostly because we liked being right on the water. If it weren’t for that this would not be the campground for us. The weather was hot so lots of tubing and fishing and kayaking in the river — we loved to sit out and watch the water go by. Wood at the camp store is incredibly expensive — they don’t sell to nightly campers by anything more than the small bundle ($8) — thankfully a lien seasonal let us buy some of his stock, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to afford more than one fire over the weekend. Come for the river and the kind seasonal people (which is the majority).
We planned a last minute trip here and had a really nice time. It’s brand new as of 2021 and as such has lots of modern amenities! The hookups are excellently done and the fire rings all have adjustable grates — this was very handy! Sites are relatively level, ours was a little challenging but not too bad. They are in the process of adding lots more sites up away from the lake in the woods plus 2 bath houses. The sites along the lake are great, but be aware most of them are seasonal. There are only 2 on the lake that aren’t (3 and 7) 25 is also non-seasonal is close to the lake. We were in 3 and enjoyed it. Small store with the necessities and the campground has a BEAUTIFUL venue for weddings / events. There are cabins, tent sites and RV sites on site. They have paddle boats and kayaks and you can fish in the lake. The view was beautiful. We would definitely go back
We stayed here for a few days for a quick getaway. Our 3 young kids enjoyed the playground the most — there were lots of fun things for the kids on the playground. There was also a nice pond — it looked pretty full of fish, but we had forgotten our fishing gear. We had hoped for paddle boats which were advertised — but there was just one pretty unusable boat. The campground was pretty quiet with a lot of long term residents. We were originally supposed to be in the woods — which FYI is far out of the way of the main activities, and also has a pretty steep incline. But the site was too uneven for our taste so we moved down in the main area, which was better for us. The spots are pretty close together but thankfully we didn’t have anyone to the side of us. The staff was all very friendly and very accommodating and helpful!
We really did enjoy our stay here! The staff was very friendly and our site was a good location. People were all friendly and welcoming! We came in early fall with 3 kids. They LOVED the animals and we fed them at the allotted time every morning and went to visit at other times. Beyond that though, we found there wasn’t too much to do. There was a nice little store with hand dipped ice cream — I believe normally there’s a game room, but it had flooded so it wasn’t open. There is also mini golf for a very small fee, though it was a little rough — covered in leaves and twigs (makes for a challenging game!) Also there was small playground. On a different part of the property there were some swings that left much to be desired — so, not too much for kids to do but hang out with the animals (which we did love and was the reason we came!) littler to no cell service where we were on the site.
