This spot was nice and just a quick drive outside of Fort Collins. There was tons of shade and easy access to trails. Loved the river nearby to play in and let dog swim.
We went early June and ended up having to come back late at night. The wind picked up and was insane. This would have been doable if we were in the trailer, but our tent just about blew away. Access to water was nice. Will try to go back another weekend.
This spot is just a quick ride outside of Golden. The scenery is gorgeous with several trails to hike or mountain bike. The campsites are clean and easy to get to. Great for families with little ones. You are pretty close to your neighbors and it’s busy. We went with friends with adjacent campsites, so that made it fun. However, if we were camping alone it would have been a little close next door. The bathrooms are clean and park rangers monitored the area often.
Camping here is more spread apart than Reverend’a Ridge. The bike trails are awesome and a sweet pond tucked in the meadow to fish at.
Amazing views and something for everyone. My 4 year olds threw rocks in the reservoir, they bikes on nearby trails. The bathrooms were clean too. My dog was able to cool off in the reservoir on a hike. Overall, it was a great trip we will be headed back!
Something for everyone. My dog could swim in north Michigan reservoir. The kids could ride bikes in trails and throw rocks in the water. Hiking was fun. Beautiful views. Bathrooms close and super clean.
