Filthy, broken mess

The sites are just parking spaces with picnic tables. Very little greenery or shade. The restrooms and showers were out of order, and they had a single portapotty for our entire half of the campground. Everything was in serious disrepair and dirty.

The most comfortable campground so far

Can't give this one high enough stars.

We're van camping and working remotely, so our priorities are internet connectivity, electricity, and running water.

The sites are all nice and flat, very well maintained, and pretty well spaced out. For the desert, there's surprisingly good vegetation between sites for privacy (but it is the desert).

The bathrooms are plentiful, immaculate, and have hot water, showers, heated hand dryers, and a dish washing station… All open, even in the winter!

Decent cell coverage on both verizon and t mobile, plus good free WiFi. Our site, in particular, had some issues with the different providers, depending on the direction of the wind, but I was able to work all day.

Our only itty bitty gripe is that the fire rings did not have grills. But really, that's nothing.

Would gladly stay again!

Oh, and there's some pretty nice trails and caves, too. Make sure you reserve your tour well in advance

Total RIPOFF!!!

We reserved online and read the website very carefully. It said that showers and laundry were closed during winter, but that there were restrooms.

When we arrived, we found that they wanted an additional $9/day vehicle charge that was NOT included in the camping fee (and was NOT mentioned anywhere on the website). And to top it all off, there was no water, and no restroom access.

This was completely dishonest and I would never recommend such a poorly-run place!

Beautiful lake!

We arrived in late November, when it was cold, snowy, and practically empty. But the campground and all of its facilities were open, and the camp host was extremely friendly and helpful!

Nice sites, but primitive off-season

The park is beautiful, and the sites are well-maintained. But we were disappointed to find that all the water and restroom facilities were closed during the winter.

Would absolutely recommend the park, and would gladly stay here during the season. But if you're camping off-season, you may as well go into one of the many cheaper and more interesting primitive sites inside the main part of the park. Lots of options!

Not what we had hoped

We reserved several nights here, based on the expectation of cell reception and electric. I'm working remotely, so these are must haves. When we got there, we found that there was zero service on either of our carriers, and no WiFi available.

Only the RV sites have power, and the RV sites were pathetically small. They were basically parking spots with tiny shared picnic tables between them. It looked more like a Walmart parking lot than a campsite. Very disappointing.

If you're able to go without power and internet, the tent sites were fairly nice. But if you need either, look elsewhere.

Great site in a beautiful and under rated park

This campground was perfect for us. We stayed for a week while I worked remotely. Although there was very little cell reception, there was good WiFi at a reasonable price. The internet, power, water, and showers (even in December) were all steady. And while I worked, my husband hiked the park. Lots of beautiful trails to explore and rocks to climb (at all levels of difficulty)!

The only criticism I have is that I wish that some of the tent sites offered electric, too. We were just van camping and really didn't need a whole RV spot, but those were the only ones with power.

All in all, a great site!

Good campground, but pretty crowded

We came in early December, and this campground was still at full capacity. Zion is beautiful, so I understand why! But, if you're looking for a quiet retreat, maybe look elsewhere.

That said, there's excellent cell reception, good bathrooms, and a reasonable amount of space at each site. And, of course, Zion is absolutely worth seeing

Great little site!

We came in December, and the campground was nearly empty. But, so the amenities were still working, including water hookups and showers! Excellent cell reception. Really beautiful lake views and surrounding vistas, plus remote enough to get a great view of the night sky. Would definitely stay again.
