This spot is owned by the BLM. That means it’s free for up to 14 days and there aren’t any hook up. There were a few other campers around but I never heard them. The silence is serene and the sunsets are breathtaking. And since it’s just outside of the park entrance, there’s still cell service.
Only 1 block from the historic district, which is great. The man that checked me in was super nice and friendly. Over all the park is pretty simple. Full hook ups. Bathrooms and showers on site, although not the cleanest. WiFi signal pretty much doesn’t work.
Simple, no thrills campground. Full hook up and WiFi. Located directly at the entrance to the Carlsbad Canyon National Park. Small restaurant across the street and a general store, gift shop and post office right next door.
I pulled in late last night and there’s actually a property manager on site, so I was able to get a space. A very friendly man met me at the desk, got me checked in quickly and easily and I was settling into my camp space about 15 minutes later. Full hookups, WiFi, continental breakfast, pool and more. Plus conveniently located close to shopping and a Walmart.
