It rained most of the weekend, but we still had a blast! The trail to the lake is accessible but far enough that you avoid the high day use traffic. The campsites have trees and some privacy.

This campground is amazing! It was recently remodeled and has great trails, straight to the beach, bike paths, and hikes. It has a specific tent only area, close to the beach. It is a former army site, fort miles, providing some WWII history.

The campsite is right next to a loud highway and you cannot hear the waves that are so close by. There are no trees and no privacy between sites. This campground is clearly made for the RV fishermen, not for tent folk.
