KOA campgrounds are a quick stopover for us, never a destination. This location has it all. Cabins, tent sites. Great RV sites, even a yurt! Some highway noise. Clean, great kid play area (with ping pong) and a nice playground. New furniture provided and built in fire pits.
We camped in off-season and the place was quite empty. Camp host told us it was always pretty quiet. Sites are close together, most with a pitch. We had a water view- a finger of Barkley Lake. The park has a restaurant, stables & marina (unsure if both were closed due to covid, or off-season). There are tight turns and two way traffic. Even the dump is on an incline.
Colorado Springs offers much to do and this campground is a great spot to unhook. “The Meadows” is one of the loops…all level spots here, full hook-up. Not much privacy or shade, but would still highly recommend. The park location is close to Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Pike’s Peak and more. The park offers many wonderful hiking trails…and a frisbee golf course. Convenient drive to grocery stores and restaurants.
Convenient location. Accommodating staff. Well lit. Good dog run. We stopped in early November and Kansas was already cold and windy!
This is a family owned RV park in Garrison, MT. Helpful hosts. Kid friendly. Gameroom. Laundry. If you want to relax, this is a great stop. Spacious spots, some mountain views. A bit of road traffic noise, but still quiet. A Chapel on the grounds and Sunday services offered. Would recommend.
This is a decent place with quite a few spots with lake views. Well maintained. Plenty of shade. Tents and RVs. Crowded most holidays. Close to grocery. Great Mexican restaurant in town.
Spruce Park on the River is currently only for RV (due to covid). It is very clean, family-friendly and kid oriented. Host even planned a Scavenger hunt with treats! Plenty of paved, safe, bike riding areas. Many, many seasonal campers. River view is scarce from most spots, due to berms, but still accessible. Some highway traffic noise. Spots are close, but plenty of grass space. Not all have fire pits, so if that is important, be sure to ask. Big unfenced dog playground. Friendly and helpful staff. Truly, the nicest hosts we have come across.
You are in the middle of Destin but this place is gorgeous and quiet. The sites are luscious and private. Walking path to a beautiful beach. Very clean. Would highly recommend.
You cannot find a place to camp more darling than this. Clean, spacious, affordable. Staff was great. Bike paths were awesome and plentiful. You can bike all across town. Fish Hatchery entertaining and wonderful. Don’t miss driving 14A for spectacular views. The town is cute. Entire experience was beautiful.
We have stayed here multiple times, always accommodating, always clean. The sites closer to the river tend to be quieter. This is a city-run park and offers plenty to do. Sites are not crammed together and the staff is always helpful. Would highly recommend.
Coming from MO, Nebraska is usually just a one night stop for us (as we head onto bigger and cooler states). We were happy to find this clean RV park near Nebraska City. Big, but quiet. Friendly staff. Homey. Green space. Great dog park.
The positive comment, the staff is friendly. Someone helped back our RV into our spot, but they have to because the spots are soooo tiny and wedged between residential motor homes. The place looks more like a junk yard or an RV used sales lot, which it is! The dog park is the size of a postage stamp, but at least they have one. We needed a place to stay and it sufficed, but this is not an RV “park” in any sense of the word.
If you want privacy, this isn’t your place, but if you want a nice, clean site, try here. Staff is friendly. Location is close for entrance into Yellowstone NP. Sites are close together, but some have nice views (but they cost more). The town has a many restaurants and gift stores if you want that sort of thing.
I was a bit apprehensive when the sign read, “RV park, casino” (restaurant, motel)…..but! This place is nice. Sites are close, so prepare to be friendly. Highway is close by as well, so you will hear some traffic noise. A train occasionally runs slowly across the river. Campground nicley maintained. But, the lawnmower is out there everyday!!! Loud and unneeded. Shower and Laundry available. Nice quiet road to walk pets. And beautiful view of river and mountainside.
Sunny and dry and nary a tree in sight. Close to the Interstate. Helpful staff. Just a stop over. No long term joy here.
