The Best KOA Out There

I am reviewing site 26 which is a deluxe patio pull-through. It is on the end and has a concrete patio with gas grill and umbrella covered patio table with 6 chairs. It is next to the laundry, restroom, and showers. This site has a small corner with grass (great for a quick dog potty break). The site also has a small campfire area off to the side. The campground is well taken care of and great common areas. Behind the registration office is a common area where evenings may host live music. A small restaurant is there as well as an airstream turned into a bar is a great place to sit and hear the music.
A great place to relax and enjoy.

Bring a broom

I will start with the pros. Birch campground at Rendezvous Beach has nice paved (mostly level) spots. Each site has a covered picnic table in a concrete pad. The public restrooms are in good clean condition. You can access the beach easily. The water is really low and therefore much further away than expected. You can also drive your car into the marked areas of the beach.
Now for the cons and the reason for the 3 stars. I know once upon a time this was a well cared for campground. Unfortunately 2022 proved otherwise. The picnic table at my site and concrete pad were covered in dirt/sand and useless because I don’t have a broom. The common areas between sites are overgrown with weeds. No real grass just rocks and weeds. This all gets tracked into your RV especially if you have dogs.

Awesome!

Super nice well kept campground with large level sites. Clean restrooms and showers. Mature orange trees on each site and dog areas for off leash play.
