Large campsites for RVs and tents

We camped here in July 2019 and we had two families. We had tons of space for a 30ft trailer and two trucks and we liked that there was a small grass area for a tent. We had electric and water hookups and we even had cell service. Most of the sites seemed big and well spaced apart so you didn’t feel like you were on top of other people. The campground was very beautiful and clean and quiet. Even the pit toilets were clean and well maintained. We found the location to be excellent - both Talkeetna and Denali NP were day trips for us. We would highly recommend this campground.

Great campground near Sol Duc Falls

We stayed at Sul Duc campground in early June. We stayed at site A-11. It was definitely one of the bigger sites and had more privacy and access to the river. We only had neighbors on one side and a nice grove of trees on the other. There is a bit of a steep incline from where you park your car down to the site. The site isn’t directly on the main river but on a small offshoot but if you are brave enough to walk thru the cold water or over some fallen trees you can get over to the main Sol Duc river - we had it all to ourselves and it was very relaxing! You can hear the river from the site which was nice. We were close to the restrooms and they were decent. You have to get firewood at the Hot Springs Resort - which we thought was too far to walk so we drove up. Their grocery store has ice and firewood and souvenirs and a good selection of essentials if you forgot anything. We skipped the Hot Springs - too crowded and not worth the price. We drove up to the Sol Duc Falls trailhead and walked the 0.8 miles in to see the falls - so amazing! The campground location made it easy to travel to the Hoh Rainforest and Lake Crescent nearby.

Beautiful spot next to the White river

Beautiful campsite. We tent camped at site 36 - and it was great! We were able to reserve the spot online months in advance which was nice. It was a spacious site and we only had one other camp site next to us and there was lots of space and privacy between us and the other sides were forest and river. The nearest restroom to site 36 is a vault toilet (which was very clean and filled with air fresheners!) but the nicer restrooms with flush toilets and warm running water is just a short walk away. I was surprised we could hear some traffic from our site with being so close to the river but it wasn’t that bad. The park hosts were very friendly and helpful - always driving around with firewood for sale and keeping the bathrooms clean and stocked. As we drove through the campground I did feel that the other sites that weren’t on the river were very small and close together with little privacy - the ones along the river are definitely the ones to try and grab! The river was beautiful and the feeling of being nestled in the mountains and trees was very relaxing. We would definitely recommend this campground.

Great campsite near the beach

Just stayed at Cape Lookout this week and we loved it! We stayed in Loop C at site C25. The site was one of the few set amongst trees so there was a little more privacy than other sites. It was located near two clean bathrooms with showers and hot water. We could hear the ocean from our site and it was a short walk to a gorgeous sandy beach! Our 6 year old had a great time playing on the beach. There was firewood for sale. A great area to hike and see other attractions along the coast. We will definitely return.
