Yep this campground is on the New River. Great but directly overhead is I-81 overpass so take that into consideration. It is reasonable priced we have Passport America so it was under $16 for the 1 night we stayed. Office is in the gas station as is the restaurant. Check in 11 am (we got here at 8 pm) check out is 11 pm. Young lady at front desk was super nice. Bath house is very close and clean. There are a lot of fulltimers living here so call ahead to get a site. We will be back though the fishing is great and bait house is right here. I feed the fish so that is perfect for me.
Bob and his family recently purchased the park and are working hard to make it better. Phone number is now 256-619-1776. 14 Gravel RV sites FHU 30/50 6 tent sites with electric and water. If you plan on using your cell up hereā¦don't very poor signal but WI FI works great all over the park. It is small yes but so peaceful. So close to quaint Mentone and majestic DeSoto Falls. 1776rv.com
This is pure heaven for me. Out in the middle of cow pastures and rolling hills. It is a paradise for hunting/birddog trainers. But if you come during wet season like I did just be prepared to deal with black silk mud and red clay mud and I mean lots of it. Always has sites open. Great owner.
