We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our trailer purchase from McClain's RV. It is directly behind the McClain's in Sanger. Our site was a full service, pull through, partially shaded site that was reserved by the dealership for new owners. It was a nice, level site, great for first-timers. It was a bit of a walk to the restrooms/showers, but they were very nice and clean.
Full hook up sites are nice. No swimming allowed but I did launch my paddle board from the site. I also saw some campers launching their kayaks and fishing. Our site had a big drop off from the asphalt pad and the picnic table was a long way from the pad. We were a short walk from the bathroom. Park hosts make it a point to drive by and say hi. They also offered firewood for free, if we wanted it.
Live Oak is a nice Corps of Engineers park on Belton Lake. The campsites are well maintained with asphalt parking, a covered picnic table, and nice gravel area. We stayed in Site 3 which was waterfront, but no water access, however was shaded and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will stay again. I only gave it 4 stars because there is no swimming area. There is a boat launch.
