Quaint little Oasis!

Amazing small campground with such simple charm (MUST eat at the restaurant within the campground! Southern smoked BBQ!)

Holy Crow!

After a gorgeous "climb" up the curvy Casino Central City Parkway road to find this KOA (breathtaking views!), we were thrilled at the ease of simply picking a site and plugging in. Granted, we were only able to stay one night, and it was a chilly mid-October visit, so there were tons of sites to choose from (that's the best part of Fall camping in my opinion). We requested propane via text message (the self-check in had all of the information we needed), and within a few minutes, the young KOA gentleman took care of our propane refill. The campground itself is perched upon a hill overlooking a valley of homes. The view is amazing and the sites are large, manicured and landscaped 'like home'. Would definitely stay again!

Nice sites!

Host/Manager Betty was extremely accomodating! This KOA has 'tiered' sites which are well maintained. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. The Dog area is easily accessible and kept clean as well. This KOA has gravel sites and convenient hookups.

Nice place to stop for a few nights!

The camp staff was all very friendly. We had a nice site with very easy hookups! There are hiking/biking trails right off the road from the campsites. Each site is quite spacious and each has a picnic table and fire pit with a grill top. The view is AMAZING and the hiking trail was worth the effort to get even better views of the mountains from a higher elevation. The town of Buena Vista is quaint and has options for gas fillups and groceries. I would stay here again!

Super Hosts and beautiful campground!

I cannot thank Leslie, Frederick and Tom for their support with my RVing needs! We ended up staying an extra night--such a lovely campground with special touches at every site. If we visit again, I would definitely request a back-in site along the river! Just walking along the river pathway was breathtaking! The dog park is huge and has fun obstacle course activities to encourage interactions with pets. Everything about this KOA is great! We took a day trip to the Iron Mountain Hot Springs (fun!) and to the Rifle River water falls (an easy little hike but WOW! Cool water falls and caves to explore!) Come visit this KOA! You won't be disappointed!

Loved the sounds of cows!

The Host (Jenna) was a real sweetheart and went above and beyond in educating me about her experience working in a KOA. The campground sites were EXTREMELY well kept and ALOT of work has gone into sprucing up what used to be a run down place. Every single campsite is circled with a special touch (i.e., mulch, artificial grass, rock border, etc). The large dog run area was perfect for my boxer. We spent a day hiking up to the Arches National park (a MUST DO in this area!) and the Swasey beach was an interesting and tranquil place to picnic.  I would definitely stay here again!

Easy to find in the Big City

Knowing that this would be more of a "city" KOA, we were prepared for the tight sites but the view of the mountains and access to hot springs, food, gas, etc. is well worth it! The moo-ing cows roaming around just added to the ambience (We camp because we like the different places we find!) Yes.. the sites are VERY tight. Pull in was manageable and our groundwater spicket leaked ridiculously but we still had decent water pressure. I noticed that other spickets were also wrapped tightly with tape and had electrical lines leading to them (I'm sure the water freezes if not cared for).. Overall, this was a nice enough place to stay for a few nights. We stayed over the weekend so it was busy.

Simple but nice!

We arrived late at night and our host (Lucy) left us perfect info to find our site quickly in the dark. It was quite a surprise to wake up and see a pretty empty but lovely campground! Lucy was so kind to us and I wish we could have stayed longer! The Casinos are within walking distance but we did not feel unsafe. The campground is very large (but was empty in October) and we could tell it was very well taken care of! Cute store with a lot of nice souvenirs!

Quaint and Quiet

A very easy in and out site. It was clean.. gravel sites were nice and level. We had a little snow which made it more challenging to enjoy the whole property but I would stay here again :-)

2nd Stay here!

Such a lovely and clean campground! I love the beautiful surroundings here. Definitely worth the visit.

Always nice here!

This is our second visit to this KOA. It is spacious and quiet! There is PLENTY of room and folks are always friendly. Love this KOA. :-)

On the Marina

We stayed here for 2 nights and were pleased with our large, quiet site overlooking the "lagoon" and marina. The campground was half empty (due to end-of-season campers and kids heading back to school). We had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves. There are trails through the woods and riding bikes through the campground allowed us to view the lake from beautiful angles. This is probably a very busy campground in the summer for boaters and water lovers. The store was a little bare, but we weren't there to shop anyway. :-)

Beautiful KOA in the quiet part of the Smokies!

After backing into our snug site on the river, we were very happy with our site! Not only did we have cool neighbors, but our site also had a private little deck and a paved patio overlooking the Little River. This KOA is clean and folks are friendly. We spent 2 nights here and packed in all kinds of adventures in our short stay!

Quaint and Quiet

We pulled in after sunset but were pleasantly surprised by our site and the campground when we woke up the next morning! Our site was easily accessible.. nothing real special about it in general but spacious. This KOA has a few 'petting zoo' animals and a quaint little diner! The folks here are very kind and we do wish we could have stayed a little longer to explore the beautiful surroundings. Would stay again!

Quaint, Clean, Large site

We stayed for one night. Very nice, private pull-through site with many trees. Wonderful store with fun things to buy! Decorated nicely for Halloween. Well kept grounds!

Nice for our one night stay

We stayed here for one night en route to Cape Cod. Although we had requested a specific site on the KOA website, the gentleman in the front office had arranged for us to park in an easily accessible pull-through site, right at the entrance. We really didn't want that particular site, and although he advised against the tricky back-in site 'up on the hill' that we had originally selected, we thought we would at least give it a shot! We are SO glad that we did!

Quaint and Quiet

On our way to Cape Cod, we stayed for one night here. We arrived just before sunset on a rainy evening. Our site was a pull-through by request, and the beautiful surroundings of greenery and dew with shimmering sunshine had us wishing we could stay longer.  Our site was large and simple, but just what we had wanted. Very kind folks all around.

5 really great nights!

A large, but very organized campground! Many (we were told 75%) sites are seasonal folks but immaculately kept sites .. fun to see how RVers utilize their space with unique set ups!

Awesome place!

This campground has EVERYTHING one might want or need. It IS right off an expressway so there’s a little traffic noise but the giant sites and quaint stone fire pits make up for that “con”. If you are a walker, you’ll enjoy the hilly accessible paved roads.

Impressive!

Super clean KOA with level gravel sites (no weeds popping up through gravel!) 2 Fenced dog areas, nice playground, game room, giant chess set outside, clean pool.. you name it, this KOA has it! I was impressed when Mike helped me back into my site.. it had a little wooden deck with a picnic table (I did not request nor pay extra for this perk!) I noticed something that I've not seen at other campgrounds: each of the waste connection covers had a 'fake' rock over the top. Very clever! The KOA is very tidy and well kept.

Nice folks here. I would highly recommend it!
