Not worth the price

Good if you want to be close to the city but otherwise it’s not very worth it. The spots are small and it’s very crowded.

Forested large tent areas

The primitive camping spots are very spacious and there’s plenty of trees for hammocks and a little privacy. The lady working there was super nice and it was pretty cheap. A road was next to our spot though so it was kinda loud.

Nice campground

The spaces are pretty small and completely out in the open but it was grassy, quiet, and cheap

Nice free place to camp

If you’re just passing through and looking for a place to camp it’s a little far off 70 but lots of space and a very nice place to stay for being free and on a lake.

Good quick road trip stop

The field and the river are nice and there’s tons of space, but when we arrived there were over 20mph winds so we didn’t pitch a tent or use sleeping bags since we didn’t want anything to blow away. It’s great that the site is free though and it’s a pretty easy stop mid road trip, but definitely better for RVs then tent camping (depending on wind).

Great campsite with beautiful views

The actual campsites are super spacious and have a grill stove and bear box. You can walk just up outside the campsite to a lookout and there are beautiful views of the mountains. The road to the campsite it bad though. For over a mile you’re on a dirt road with some big ruts and potholes. If you go slow it’s somewhat doable in a low car, but pretty precarious unless you have a higher up 4x vehicle. It was very reasonably priced though only $15.
