Campsites were close to a high way and far away from the rest of the park. A nice stop for a change of scenery, but not the best scenery around. The campground hosts were awesome! And so was a wolf ranger talk we went to!

I got to Glacier at 1 pm, and of course by then all of the campgrounds are full…. except this one! I rushed over, through Polebridge and onto this 7 mile, horrific dirt road that my car did not appreciate, and got one of the last sites. There are only 7 sites and it is in bear country and I was camping alone, so yes I was afraid. Its next to a cute river and a hiking trail to Quartz lake, but not much else around. A good stopping point on your way to a better campground, in my case Apgar, but I wouldnt center my trip around staying here.

Loved the campground itself. All of the sites were nice and some were extra nice if you were lucky enough to snach them. The early booking time is annoying (get there by 6:30 to for sure get a site), and some of the sites were too close to the road and traffic was a little noisy, but the ranger talks were interesting every night. There are dump stations and no showers, but you have lake mcdonald within a mile of you, so who really even needs showers? I stayed here alone and felt safe from bears (and people, but i just turst people too quickly). I do wish I had stayed in a campgroup closer to the mountains and the northern side of the park though, like st mary or rising sun. Although there is wifi at the apgar visitor center and sometimes i got service at my site (i have verizon). The drive up to logan pass and beyond does take a while. The shuttle service is fantastic though! and free! I gave it 4 stars because of its location within the park and the lack of showers.

Very close to great sections of the Superior Hiking Trail and the baptism river. Beautiful in the summer if you're willing to make the drive from the twin cities or further. Campground is clean and scenic. Great for just the weekend or a week long stay!

I enjoy this park year round whether it be staying in the group cabins during the colder months (an incredibly fun stay with snow), or day hiking in the meadows or up the ridge in the summer. Never camped in the campground but I've heard good things. My father and I go flyfishing here in the summer and he has a great time. He thinks they have some of the best spots near Minneapolis.

Love site #11. Right on Lake Superior and access to a stone beach, while being close to the bathrooms as well. Privacy wasn't an issue for me but other sites have a bit more than this one. This campground has great access to towns along the southern end of the north shore and the superior hiking trail. Would reccommend to everyone!
